Unseen

A glance, a gaze, reflections not seeking,
Colors blur—yellow, gray, black
Figure firm, hunched, silent in their solitude,
Will you ever look my way?
Eyes make contact, void of understanding,
Just surface, shallow, devoid of the depths below,
It's just me, standing, hoping, fading,
As dreams build and crumble in the silence.
You ignore, lost in your world,
Colors standard—red, black, cool and distant.
Unseen, I'm here, yet not to you,
Mere shadows in your peripheral view.
What lies behind the veil of indifference?
Could a simple shift, a mere glance deeper,
Uncover the colors of a soul I yearn to know
Both ways, one way, I plead for sight,
Tall with blue eyes — a perfect pair,
But I care, not for the facade, but the unseen.
I want, I see, beyond the surface, into the depths,
Hoping for a moment when our worlds might collide,
And you see me as I am, not just as I appear.
