We said things we didn’t mean to, right?

We said things we didn’t mean to,
right?
I mean, it was just in the heat of the moment
and we were both a little frustrated.
You expressed how you felt,
like I never listen to you and
I asked if you’d pass the bread.
You called me self-centered and inconsiderate
and I replied you could care less about my needs.
When I asked if you were going to finish
your pasta, you looked at me
for a few moments, shook your head
and said you’d had enough.
That’s when you got up and left.
I had no idea you were full.
