Betrayed him
In, from part of another time
Stay this time please, finish our story.
A lover, father, brother, grand master...
Holding part of my heart
Lighted, part of...
Again, mysterious Soul
From nearby lighted star.
It, holding life
Love, adventure
Wild force of nature...
Still, here around, another likeness
Present only like a tease
A wild wind stiffening, showing something following
Quickly then dropping behind
Softening to a single breeze.
Careful here, breathe in gently
Taste… then gone.

Dream a toe touching water
Testing safe, to jump in
Is this, the place proper
For a picnic
Or to change the world lived in
Once thought safe.
All this…
Like a favorite ice cream for my cone
Or just a tasty syrup for topping
Making my world, more exciting, better
Though deep inside, knowing…
Just another treat when done.
Instead to remain
Part of your own story
Never quite finished
One, from beyond this life’s fence
Perhaps, passing only through a shared gate
One will not know this time around
