I was born in Oklahoma, but life has taken me many places and I landed in beautiful Minnesota. I've never been a city girl and prefer the smaller town atmosphere. My heart always calls me back to Oklahoma. I love it so much, I brought back a jar of the finest red dirt Oklahoma had to offer.
From life on the street as a young teenager to becoming an ordained minister, I have seen and experienced many of life's pleasures and dissappointments. I enjoyed a ride on the Goodyear blimp and was able to join the elite few who had flown before me. I am a big animal lover and had the oppertunity to bottle feed a tiger.
If I am not in my kitchen canning my homemade taco and spaghetti sauce, you will find me in the backyard with my family and trusty sidekick, Addison. Addison is a full blooded chihuahua and emotional support dog. I think I give her more emotional support than she gives me.
Due to my stint in fostercare, I had always wanted to be a foster mom. It was not in the cards for me. I do however have the pleasure of "adopting" several of my adult children's frends. It is so fullfilling when they await to get their hug and lovingly call me Mom. My grandchildren are my pride and joy. The first time I held my granddaughter, I didn't know you could love a baby so much. My heart overfilled again when I held my grandson.
Living on the streets and being bounced around to different fosterhomes presented it's educational challenges. I missed the first semester of my eighth grade year and the last semester of my senior year. I am the only one of six children and including my mother to graduate from Highschool and with honors. The buck stops here! I was able to break the vicious cycle of failed education and abuse. It wasn't until I was in my mid forties that I decided to go back to school. I attended Ohio Christian University in 2014 and finished my studies at Acts Seminaryin 2016.
I just completed my autobiography "Gracefully Broken" . I am still in the process of submitting my manuscript. I know from experience, when God calls you to do something He gives you what you need to gett it done. I have done what I can and He will do what I cannot and get my manuscript in the right hands.
Blessings
