Summer Rain Storm

INCESSANT SUMMER RAIN

In morbid humid summer heat I feign, easily drain
Prospecting for a cool, crisp meandering breeze
Conceivably, nature might spill a gentle "summer rain"
A dismal cloud generates, an inkling of relief to gratify, such a tease
Now I sit in disbelief up upon my slimy unscrupulous roof
Optimistic the local church will indeed appease the pleas
Answer the call and dutifully open its doors , "Poof "
For I live in the crippled, dripping, drowning state of Texas
Where relentless rain & Lakewood megaplex turned infectious

Positioned on my slurry roof I could swear I witnessed Neptune
Eyes ablaze, he was wearing a distinct gnarly grin
Throwing damning lightening bolts and declaring a monsoon
Rooting for the pastor, during disaster, to literally sin
Incredulous Neptune didn't anticipate people together
United would take care of brother & the chthonic weather

Autumn Dance

As you dance among the leaves absorbing Autumns chilly breeze
Umbrella of colors brain ingests assists minds eye a peaceful rest
Totally brings you to your knees this peaceful landscape of the trees
Upon your eyes, gloriously pleased, boredom appeased, animations crest
Memory engages raking hordes of leaves as they slowly became deceased
Natures frequency of positive ion charged crisp cool air digest

Dance Now, Canvas doesn't capture rapture
Audible, amplified wind drifting hisses
Numerous leaves, blowing their own individual bliss dispatcher
Cleansing whirlwind whips frosted kisses
Enticing ciders, cinnamon and carved faced pumpkins to fracture

Aurora Borealis

Crisp clean air gently expanding my lungs
Infinite pigments of vivid dazzling lights
Painted illumination masterfully hung
Washing over my body and brain
Gradually tampering down
My intermittent slices of insane

Tenderly reposing my weary mind
I Lie my head where the universes
Polished stars divinely shine
Nature surrounds my earthly bed
Glimpses of cascading brilliant color
Dancing through the evening sky
Soulfully digested, nourished and fed

A blanket that radiates glistening hues
For only my molten laden eyes to see
My breathe suddenly is eased, cleansed
For it has yoked the omnipotent to me
Silently retraining my brain
Gradually tampering down
My intermittent slices of insane

Sunshine Sonnet

Suns soft sensual soaking silhouette
slowly sneaks silently the silky skin
Oppulent orifices ooze olive sweat
Reprising rhythmic rouge romance akin

Saturated salt smelling skin spilling
frothy fragrant fire ferociously
Capricious calm converts to cool chilling
Precipitation paid precociously

Heartwarming henotic humble heat haunts
harmed human hearts hypnotized happily
Gleaming glowing glare gravitating taunts
of liquid love long lost unhappily

Precious precocious sunshine come hither
Need your lava lifeblood not to wither

Christmas Blitz

WHITE glistening snow
WHITE dove
DOVE of love
DOVE of purity
PURITY of intention
PURITY of child's innocence
INNOCENCE lost
INNOCENCE price was paid
PAID by charge
PAID by layaway
LAYAWAY in manager
LAYAWAY paid by Child stranger
STRANGER gifted Earth
STRANGER provided worth
WORTH is sung
WORTH is celebrated
CELEBRATED with mistletoe
CELEBRATED with a big bright bow
BOW your knee
BOW the harp
HARP Symbolizing joy
HARP for small boys
BOYS and girls anticipation
BOYS and girls toys, lots of noise
NOISE exuberant
NOISE so jolly
JOLLY with visual holly
JOLLY Santa's jelly belly
BELLY full of cocoa and cookies
BELLY bombs of snowballs
SNOWBALLS hanging from dogs fur
SNOWBALLS melded into Frosty's that once were
WERE we warmed by fireside
WERE we warmed by loves abide
ABIDE in reverence
ABIDE by presence
PRESENCE and presents
PRESENCE and love
LOVE silver bells
LOVE of children swells
SWELLS of memories past
SWELLS of smells that last
LAST gift is opened
LAST guest has left
LEFT to gaze Christmas lights
LEFT to kiss children goodnight
GOODNIGHT Dear Lord
GOODNIGHT illuminated star
STAR so very
FAR

Sacred Spaces

Amidst the sacred places
I've witnessed distraught faces
A virtual Kaleidoscope of races
History often traces
Many are hungry and cold
Politicians bought and sold

Achingly, our God embraces
He competes to fill vacant spaces
Ima try to honor his plan
His kingdom is meant for man
But it's turning viciously dark
Lord hold my hand as I embark
The daily realities can be so stark

Hard to be tender and surrender
While yielding a sword I might need to render
Divisions grow strong amongst gender
If you have a special angel, send her
I'm made from the rib being tender
Equality, increasingly, a mind bender

Engage me in the sacred spaces
Let me hear boisterous laughter
Have my back in extreme cases
Teach me when to sit and when to stand
How to enjoy and employ loves embraces

Atf

Mask muted is convoluted
Dont stop a droplet that's airborne
Without a N95
Your wasting your time
And with one you wont thrive

Your body is meant to mix with disease
Your mind is Not meant to freeze
Immunity builds with each new challenge
Generations past mingled and merged
The young, the adults and the old

The percentages are in your favor
So dont you waver, stay strong
The initial drugs have worked for many
And I've witnessed old folks contract it twice
And survive just fine at the ol folks home where I work
and live in Florida

The fear and control is worse than the virus
Live, Breathe Work and Love
God still reigns above

Anonymous you are
          synonymous
   with thoughtful and kind
                today
a smile you helped me to find
             THANK YOU

My Grandson

An endearing little imp
who shall turn my emotions limp
when I envision his little face
and the dreams he will chase

       May God grant him love
     and strength for adversity
the tranquil peace of a dove
    bestow him with skilled diversity

         A spirit filled with flow
      granted minimum of woe
In all the places he will go
The love of God he will know

       A heart that is mild
       with just enough wild
       to indulge natures beauty
That is my prayer for you
            child of my child

      Bless his mama and papa
         Jason and Sarah
      with wisdom, friendship
        and all that is good
       as they embark on the
        journey of parenthood
