A Prayer For a Friendship

Today, I pray for a friendship.
Lord, please hear my prayer.

At times, we both can feel oh so blue,
Please guide and help see us through.
I cannot picture life without her Lord,
Losing her I truly cannot afford…
We have been there for one another through thick and thin,
We have been there, even during the times when we have sinned.

And sin no more, for spiritual growth is what we both seek,
And through this, I pray the days will be gone of our friendship looking bleak.
I’m sorry Lord, for almost leading one of your best children astray,
I pray that you and she can forgive me, please forgive me one day...
You have blessed me so much Lord, with her presence in my life,
Please don’t take her away, fore the pain would be worse than the deepest cut from the sharpest knife.

I promise to do whatever it takes for our bond to last the test of time,
I’ll even finally let go of that hope and fantasy, that one day she may be mine.
Her friendship is more than enough for me to be content,
I see that now Lord, please let our bond last forever with your consent.
I will love her near and I will love her from afar if I must,
But this prayer is so that afar it will never be, and in each other we will always entrust.

Today, I pray for a friendship.
Lord, please hear my prayer.

I Love Food 2

Where
art though
my pretty
BBQ face?
I long for you, my beef brisket beauty!

My smokin hot habanero pepper,
burn me with love!
No need to
wipe the
sweat…

Sauce
on your
face and you
couldn’t care less.
I am so in love with food, and with you.

So Close Yet So Far

The first time our lips shared a kiss
Was even better than first time I shot a 3 pointer and didn’t miss.
I can’t help but smile when I picture your beautiful face,
Believe me when I say no one can ever take your place.
A piece of my heart is yours, I believe it’s corazon in Spanish,
But this is my worry, that my feelings for you may never vanish.

Whenever I have the chance to make a wish upon a star,
I wish for you, because I feel I’m so close, yet so far…

Maybe it’s because of expectations I just can’t meet,
Maybe it’s because of my spirituality, although I feel that aspect of life is right at my feet,
Maybe if I was Puerto Rican with 40-inch arms,
I can never be Puerto Rican, but maybe I can grow some guns if I finally set the alarms.
Maybe if I was someone with an engineer job who you can take home to mom,
But my ambitions are growing, so much so that it’s hard for me to keep calm.

Whenever I have the chance to make a wish upon a star,
I wish for you, because I feel I’m so close, yet so far…

I love you as my best friend, but also love you in that other way,
So sorry I have complicated things so much, but is it possible one day I can still call you bae?
Deep down I know the answer, but a part of me still wants to hold faith and hope,
I would to do anything to catch the girl of my dreams, man that would be so dope.
Even if not with you in the end, I am still thankful for this experience of being in love,
Ever since it happened, I still can’t help but thank the man above…

I Love Food

A view from the pier,
Sun beaming on waves below,
Can we eat lunch now?

Karate Pee

I once was a boy who was scared of his karate teacher the most,
He would yell and scream, our faces would be so close.
During one lesson, I had to go number one and time was running out fast,
I didn’t dare ask him to go, so there I went in the middle of class,
The girl next to me pointed at the puddle, and screamed “Ewww! That’s gross!”

Girl of My Dreams

The one and only girl of my dreams,
In my slumber, together forever is what it seems,
And then I awake, and now reality hits.
I feel like a quarterback that can’t escape the blitz.

I Can'T Sing

Birds sing for a mate,
Outside my window they meet.
I wish I could sing.

Me Myself and I

Just me, myself and I.
I lock myself in the bathroom to let out a cry,
I look up to the sky
and ask God why???
As I wait for the tears to dry,
I can’t help but to think that I’m such a sad and lonely guy.
Now I sit in the backyard, spark one up and get high,
I can’t help but wonder if there is another lonely soul nearby?
Maybe I could find them if I could fly…
I yearn for companionship, that I can’t deny.
This unforgiving grip of loneliness I wish I could defy.
But for now I lay in bed, hands between my thighs,
alone as can be, as the world outside passes me by.

Perfection

Perfection

Is it hard to believe, that when I see you, I see perfection?

A perfect sight would be to see #17 finally hoist up that Lombardi trophy,
The sight of you is more perfect than that.
The perfect scent is to smell ginger, garlic, and scallions sautéing over an open flame,
Your scent is more perfect than that.
The perfect sound is to hear wave after wave crash onto the shoreline,
The sound of your voice is more perfect than that.
The perfect touch is to feel the coolness of the other side of the pillow,
Your touch is more perfect than that.

Is it hard to believe, that when I see you, I see perfection?

Summertime Sad

Summertime sad-
Sun glistens, but my heart breaks.
I see you drifting.
