What is a Poet?
In a layman's language, a poet is someone or a group of people who write and recite poetry. It is someone who writes not only for pleasure but also one who has taken it up as their way of life, they feel it, they live and see poetry in everything that they do. Anything that is around them evokes emotions, and they can create meaning even in items and objects as simple as a speck of sand or a ray of light. A poet is anyone who boasts incredible imaginative and expressive abilities and has unique skills to play around with simple words and create a rhythm when others cannot. They have the capability of creating beauty in anything that seems distorted, or that has flaws. Since time immemorial poets and poem have always been held in high esteem, and hence poetry is and will forever remain infinite.
