Isaac Fleischer Djoleto Poem
There always is a factor
The bold and timid behavior
I am a shy fellow, though dark, my face redden
When we pass by each other
My heart ceases, my breath escapes
I smile, but as the breeze, you are gone
Nothing is seen or heard.
Stupid may seem I, whose dreams cannot share
For all i ever hoped for was barely even said.
With a sigh, soft and tender along with courage gathered,
I walked up straight and opened my lips
With head in the air.
I mixed my words and sadly, I sat down in despair
Only to say to myself the three beautiful words ever said
Oh! how difficult it is to say
But I don't want to loose you anyway
Forever in my heart, even when far away.
I may not express it in the words I say
Maybe my thoughts and my actions may not portray
But I, with the songs of the birds and in my heart I say
The three beautiful words my mouth cannot say
