Lauren Jablonski Poem
Bigfoot and I
I yearn for your touch,
I live for your kiss,
And yet our occurrence is short lived.
Snow keeps me from you,
Mountains keep me from you,
Swamps keep me from you,
So much so, I can only dream of us meeting.
Yet I know one day we'll meet again.
Where the sky touches land,
Where snow turns to grass,
And it is here when I am myself.
Your gaze stops blood.
Your screech makes skin crawl,
Yet I can’t gaze upon you,
But I’ll wait forever to see you.

Lauren Jablonski Poem
Open your eyes,
it’s time to start the day.
Listen, do you hear?
Birds are singing and they ask for you.
Shake off sleep and dress.
Meet them where sun is shining
and wind is blowing. Wipe the gaze
from your eyes for they won’t be there long.
Will you make them wait a minute, or an hour?
For they have other’s to wake up too.
Venture out and see why they are calling.
Is the sky clear? Is it ocean blue?
Lay with them and watch the world as they do.
For they obviously have something to talk about.
