Within Your Heart

Do not let doubt take root within your heart.
To pain, and wrong paths, it keeps the feet bound
To where gathered dark clouds refuse to part.

Yes, hearts wrench as ones beliefs fall apart.
When, in that held dear, there is no truth found,
Will doubt grow, deepening within the heart.

If the narrow, cramped way is where we start,
And if within our souls humbled hearts pound,
Never will the dark clouds refuse to part.

For some, the tickling of ears is their art.
Their empty words furrow a hollow sound;
Sowing the seeds of doubt within the heart.

Pursue truth, as one who chases a hart.
Once captured, wrestle it, hold it to the ground.
Only then will the clouds begin to part.

My love, from you my gaze does not depart;
Vowing only to what keeps us ever bound.
Do not let doubt take root within your heart,
Lest the gathered dark clouds refuse to part.

Gems of October

The gems on October trees are dying.
Just as stained glass in evening fades, we know
Fallen leaves are no reason for crying.

Though their blazing colors leave us sighing;
In the frail season they soon lose their glow.
The gems on October trees are dying.

Heaving their last, the leaves are sent flying,
Grieving on their way, to decay they go.
But, fallen leaves are no reason for crying.

Those with blind eyes, their senses are vying
To understand, where in resting you flow
As the gems on October trees are dying.

Lamentable fate; there’s no defying
That your blaze in the light will end in woe.
Yet, fallen leaves are no reason for crying.

You, my lovely tree, keep on supplying
Good earths needs for forest anew to grow.
The gems on October trees are dying,
But, fallen leaves are no reason for crying.

Emerald Iris Sea

In the warmth of your gaze is where I want to be.
On a journey, endless, under the seamless sky…
Lost and adrift in your emerald iris sea.

From the cold bastille of solitude, set me free,
And from curious eyes that only want to pry.
In the warmth of your gaze is where I want to be.

Dreams dream of dreamers who exhale a vying plea
That billows the sails, on the current of the sigh,
Lost and adrift in your emerald iris sea.

Thrust from darkness into light, you struggle to see
With narrowed, questioning eyes, that need to know why.
In the warmth of your gaze is where I want to be.

Buried deep inside, I exhume the hidden key
That anchors all hopes, drifting by and by and by,
Lost and adrift in your emerald iris sea.

Swaddled in safe embrace, with the strength of a tree,
Gentle are my kisses that keep ruddy cheeks dry.
In the warmth of your gaze is where I want to be,
Lost and adrift in your emerald iris sea.

Tired of Alone

Can you share me some truth
No softly whispered lies
Spare me the excuses
That lounge behind your eyes

My foundation is dust
A heart molded of clay
Shaped by adversity
Fired by dismay

(Chorus)
	I need a guiding hand
	A fearless lions heart
	Someone to lift my chin
	Direct me where to start

Being with all alone
Gives me little succor
But it gives something more
Than just mem’rys of her

Whisper only the truth
Please spare me all the lies
None of the excuses
Concealed within your eyes

(Chorus)
	I need a guiding hand
	A fearless lions heart
	Someone to lift my chin
	Direct me where to start

Could you spare me some time
I’m tired of alone
Give me a sculpting hand
To shape this heart of stone.
