Aging Rock Star Poem
Been five years today
Miss the joy you brought to me
I'll never forget
Those were loving, tender times
Years ago but yesterday

Aging Rock Star Poem
I've broken your heart
You've broken mine too
Thinking of that,
makes me so blue.
I miss your "exprussians" in your Natasha voice,
Not much of a poem, but I'm no James Joyce.
You'd be surprised that I'm now writing verse,
They aren't very good, but I'm sure you've seen worse.
Don't known you'll read this, I expect not,
But writing now helps me deal with my lot.
Do you miss me? I'll never know,
I guess it's true, we reap what we sow.
You're a wonderful woman and I miss you so,
I want us to talk, but you'd tell me to go.
It's not words of closure I need to be spoken,
I need a new heart, because this one is broken.

Aging Rock Star Poem
Beautiful music that now hurts to hear, but I long to hear again.
My obsession with the tune grows day by day, year by year.
I miss it so.
It keeps playing in my head, over and over. A wonderfully torturous tune.
Years ago it was my raison d'être. It brought such joy to my life.
Now although I sense the orchestra wants to play, it will not.
I need the music today as I did all those years ago, but I am not worthy of it.
I can only hope that one day the tune plays again for someone who will love it as much as I.
A tune so moving must not just heard, but adored.

Aging Rock Star Poem
3 AM and thinking of you again
It's been years but nothing has changed for me
Still obsessed
Still longing
Still heartbroken
Still reading your poetry
Still hoping for a chance
But
Not sure you will act on your feelings
Not sure you want me to act on mine
Afraid to learn you're not writing of me
Expecting I will never know.
