Obedience Means True Faith

The grace of God is free, it's true
But cost our LORD'S great sacrifice,
A ransom paid for me and you
For no human good could suffice.

The grace of God is free, it's true
But we need true repentant hearts,
Clean vessels for grace to flow through
And contain the Love He imparts.

The grace of God is free, it's true
But true faith shows in obedience,
Our love's proven by what we do
If we really have God's Presence.

The grace of God is free, it's true,
It can't be a license to sin,
The Word guides us this whole life through
Those who obey enter heaven.

"Those who obey His commands live in Him
and He in them." (1 John 3:24)

A kyrielle is made of quatrains that rhyme. Each stanza (that is a quatrain)
has a line that repeats, so a line from a previous stanza. That line usually (but does not necessarily have to) be the last line in the stanza.

Each line in the poem has eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas. Usually there are three or more stanzas. Any type of rhyme scheme can be used.

Rooted In Christ

Follow Jesus, read His Word,
Make straight paths for your feet.
Trust in Him, He is Sovereign LORD,
And His Truth is the light you'll meet.

Without His Word there is no fruit,
For it is the bread of our soul.
He is the Vine, our spirit's Root
His Power makes us whole.

Let us not stumble, lose our way,
We must stand on solid ground.
Strive to read the Bible each day,
It is there where Truth is found.

"The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous."

This Life

This Life

Your eyes saw my unformed body,
Yet even then, LORD, You knew me.

In Your Book were all Your plans laid,
You gave me life and I was made.

Before I saw light You were my Light
Each beat of breath, unfolding sight,

And as Your Hands knit me together,
Each bone and flesh inside my mother.

You saw how I would walk this earth,
How I would fall and lose my worth.

This child You made for Your own glory,
You took from darkness and misery.

Made new again by Grace and Mercy
You saved me from sin and set me free!

With thanks I sing, Your plans came to be
From broken to whole, LORD, You loved me.

Now as I see the coming sunset,
This form, this life, will soon face death.

From You I came and to You I return
Till then I breathe, but for that day I yearn!

Cynthia Buhain-Baello~~~03.03.16

"For you created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in Your book
before one of them came to be.

PSALM 139:13-16

He's the Truth You Need Today

No man was born perfect here on earth,
Adam was one but he fell into sin.
All men in the image of God from birth
Bore this sin curse, as it has always been.

All men like sheep have gone astray
Each to his own will, made his choice.
Man's heart bent to evil in every way
So far from God, he refused His voice.

But God loved Man so that in His Goodness
Sent His own Son to redeem him on the Cross.
Sin held Man captive in deceitfulness
Jesus was the Perfect Price paid for his loss.

Not all men can call God their "God",
But only those reborn through His Spirit.
Those who believe they were bought by Christ's Blood,
Are His children marked with His Seal and Deposit.

Some want the Truth but cannot handle it,
If all men were perfect, we won't need a Savior.
Every man is a sinner, the truth we must admit-
No one is perfect, that's what the Cross was for!

Today there's a choice each one must make:
To repent of one's sins, to believe in Jesus.
Faith and repentance is all it will take
To receive the Gift of new life that's so precious!

It's appointed unto Man to die once, then Judgment.
Heaven and Hell are real, just seconds away.
Trust God's Word that in His Love, Christ was sent
To die for imperfect you....He's the Truth you need today!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one
and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish
but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)

"At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life."
(Titus 3:3-7)

Where Are the Christians

Today we live in dreadful days that truly test our faith,
When all about the truths of God men try to negate.
When leaders rule in governments and make lies into laws,
Where are God's people? Are they mute, won't fight His righteous cause?

Where are the ones who call themselves the living saints?
There's no protest that nulls the lies that Evil paints!
Is it that now Christians hide and just cower in fear
Safe in their comfort zones, let Falsehood reign, appear?

Christians would just sit in church but cannot speak out
When sin's made right and God denied, there's nary a shout.
His Word tells us we'll take account when we must testify,
And yet because we fear backlash we'd rather live a lie.

To him who knows what he must do, and yet he fails to do it-
There's reckoning, the scales could weigh and his reward forfeit.
Men will hate us because of Christ, for this we make a stand.
His truth must march in us, that's what our time demands!

Reasons For Writing

My reasons for writing are so many
Writing's second skin, like breathing to me.
Thoughts and ideas, life lessons I learned,
Woven in words and rhyme, joy fully earned.
I write not to destroy but to create,
To inspire and uplift some in their faith.
Bring light, perhaps wisdom, and comfort there,
Touch some with a thought that they'll remember.
Writing is God's gift, to Him I'll answer,
Grateful each day He made me a writer!

"But I tell you that everyone will have to give account
on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words
you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36-37)

Love's Echo

Your voice in echo haunting me
Whisper words that resonate,
They call in dreams persistently
And speak of Love that Truth negates.

For you were gone before the morn
You grayed the sunshine from my days,
The faded Trust was never born
These tears remind me that always.

If Sleep would come without a dream,
Oh such comforting release!
The gentle Silence sings it seems
Of songs that drown your voice with ease.

Your echoed Love, please speak no more,
Accord me rest and new tomorrows!
Mute that voice just like before
When my heart knew of no great sorrows.

Jesus Is Not In the Tomb

Jesus is not in the tomb, my LORD and Redeemer lives!
He is in the heart of all those who in Him believes!
He has promised to come into us and remain
Forever dwelling in us through every joy and pain.

To all those who have opened the door of their hearts
The promised Holy Spirit, the Counselor, He imparts.
It's the will of the Father that in Christ Jesus we trust
Believe in His Word, meditate on it, we must.

Jesus is not in the tomb, His kingdom is within us,
Eternal life is knowing Him, He makes us righteous.
God saved us through Him because of grace and mercy
Christ saved us completely and prays for you and me.

I Am Sure Because Jesus Said So

Someone asked me this question:
How sure are you that you'll go to heaven?
I said I believe in the Word of the Son,
Eternal life to all who believe in Him are given.

Jesus said it - that I will never perish,
That I have been bought with a Price,
The words of Christ is what I cherish,
I know He saved me by His Sacrifice.

Set free from sin and from judgment,
Brought out of darkness into His light.
From death to life -what Jesus meant,
No one can snatch me from His Hand..

I am of a chosen people, a royal priesthood.
Ambassador of the Gospel, a saint of God.
His Spirit works in me to do all good-
I'm sealed and paid for by His precious Blood.

Cynthia Buhain-Baello~~ ~~~03.03.16

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." (John 5:24)

" I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand." (John 10:28)

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a Price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9)

"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God."
(2 Corinthians 5:20)

Change Scamming

Drowning in ignorance, in streets of blood,
My people have religion but no God.

In every election voters are blind,
They hope on promises, they've lost their mind.

They view candidates as their messiah,
In truth, it is to God they must return!
Stubborn Filipinos.... they never learn.
