The Abusive Husband

Blackened and bruised she sits in a corner cowering and fears for her life
her husband once again is on the rampage to beat up his wife
The children scared and crying sent to their room
scared and confused at their mother's impending doom
She hears his heavy breathing and fearing for her life
if only she had been smarter and never become his wife
she can hear her children's muffled cries wishing she could hold them
but if she makes one sound she knows that he will also hit them

The Sun

The sun finally came out and flirted today
It spread its happiness and warmth and made children come out and play.
How wonderful it was to see people coming out with smiles on their faces
and doing who can mow their lawn first races. The smell of barbeque was in the air
all day and night, thankyou sun have a good night

That Unwanted Last Bit of Milk

I hate it when people leave that last bit of milk in the jug. They bypass it for something else,
look at it and just shrug. It'll stay in the fridge wondering why it never got drank, and
eventually go rank.

My Daughter's Boyfriend

She feeds on his lies and games
She stays with him even though he calls her nasty names
I wish he would go away and never come back
The mother daughter relationship is beginning to crack
because of this boyfriend of hers she has changed her whole attitude towards me
Anything i say is wrong and his word is taken like the golden rule he has really turned
her into a fool. She says he loves her, so not true I know his kind, they will beat you
black and blue if don't do what they say or do what they want, they use their fists
without a second thought.

My Teenage Daughter

I've watched her grow from pigtails to makeup, from crayons to dressup.
From playdates to real dates. How can this be, suddenly she's turned into miss popularity.
Prom dresses and pictures tears and confusion, was her just being a little sweet girl just an
illusion? Suddenly i have become unpopular with her and popular with Dr. phil now i'm
thinking i need to get my daugther on the pill.

My Elderly Grandmother

Her beauty is no more and the light has faded in her eyes
But the mind still works she is a young woman in disguise
her legs may not work no more, but the mind still has plenty in store
Though she may not be able to speak well, her mind and wit are still sharp you can tell.
By hand gestures.........
