Suelynn Rodriguez Poem
Hello mom I'm sending you these words from my womb
I can hear that you want to send me straight to my tomb
Just because im not born doesn’t mean I can't feel
If you look closely my little heart is 100% real
I have done nothing wrong mom for you to put me to death
Why do you get to choose when I take my last breath?
Moms listen carefully please don’t send me to an early grave
I promise that you won't regret that my life you did decide to save
I look forward to meeting you if you give me that chance
Im sure I will be a blessing at the same time your life I will enhance

Suelynn Rodriguez Poem
Some scars from our childhood are easy to explain
I fell off my bike or I fell climbing the tree in my backyard
Others are from surgery and its harder to open up that subject
Because it can be from a tumor or an aggressive cancer that was life or death
Sometime you have scars on your wrist or neck you definitely try to avoid
Because at one point you didn’t want to be in this world
There’s emotional scars that were once deep wounds scarring your heart
Hurtful pain that came from losing a loved one or a marriage that didn’t survive
Whether scars were emotional or physical at one point they were fresh wounds that inflicted a lot of pain
Next time be more considerate of scars whether the seen or the unseen
All scars have a story get to know the real story behind the covered pain

Suelynn Rodriguez Poem
I'm controlled by a liquid substance called alcohol
Throughout my life this addiction has been my downfall
Missing out on quality time with my family so I can go drink instead
Waking up plenty of mornings thanking God for being alive and not dead
Alcohol has always managed to steer my life in negative directions
I have a feeling if I don’t quit, I'm Gona end up an inmate of dept of Texas corrections
I really need my higher power I'm admitting defeat
Because on my own battling my addiction is something I can't beat
So, from this day I begin the journey with my lord above
And from the bottom of my heart, I thank him for the unconditional love

Suelynn Rodriguez Poem
20-minute Convo
Imagine sitting on a bench over looking a pond
It’s a Breezy sunny afternoon and day feels so good
Sitting there by yourself you think
What if I had 20 minutes to talk to whoever I wanted
Whether the person was in heaven or here on this earth
What kind of Convo would you have with your person
Would you choose those 20 minutes just to lean on their shoulder in silence?
That Bench is awaiting the 20 min convo Make it Count!!

Suelynn Rodriguez Poem
Lord lately from many voices you have heard Stepanie’s name
As soon as you walk in her room you can feel that prayer rain
In the prayer forecast we are expecting a hard rain of healing
And soon those tumors her joy they won't be stealing
So, friend and family keep those prayers coming at a constant flow
And send them straight to heaven to the man who runs the show
Lord in your hands Stephanie we will leave
And with your grace Im sure the power of healing she will receive
So, with our lord leading being our guide
Stephanie knows she has the best team on her side

Suelynn Rodriguez Poem
So, there's many ways to speak that the heart can hear
But there’s that one surrounded by stone and love it does fear
Now if love is what you feel then chisel your way through the stonewall
And start yelling I'm coming for it all
The sound of cracking stone will startle them at first
But in time your love will eventually cause the stonewall to burst
Words of advice if you're not equipped to keep the heart happy and awake
Walk away and let someone more suitable the chance to take
Because once you wake up someone’s heart that’s a lifetime priority
And you should never make them feel like just a minority
