Carla Boustany Poem
Promises made when time was running away
Happiness fades with memories being made
The old man smiles starting to look away
Death took his entrance right away
With open arms he breaks thousands of hearts alive by taking one away
With simple tasks he leaves the way for emptiness to stay
With every small beat pain took its way right into the hole of a heart that will have its time one day
Time passed and Hope was the only reason to stay
Pictures attached hoping memories never fade
The old man waves leaving his images to play
The lessons he gave them away when he knew he was never going to stay
Forever is just a word made
For imagination to give Hope a way
To make people stay one more day
Life was not easy to play
But He promised that happiness was worth the wait

Carla Boustany Poem
Broken minds full of Regret
One step away from the life that he left
For a mistake that he kept
Wondering how worse could it get
As quite as it might be
Worlds could never arrest
Guilt that was built inside his chest
Reminded him of the person that he met
His reflection that took his mind to death
Scared of his own actions, yet
He took the same step
Enjoying a moment that he kept
As a reminder of Regret
