Millie Davies Poem
Some times I wonder if only,
Some times I wonder if only is truly a thing.
If only I could fly over mountains,
Or swim in the deepest of oceans.
If only I could sing like an angel,
Or dance as if I didn't care.
If only I could fall in love,
Or someone could love me.
But we have to come back to reality,
The sick painful reality;
Where I can't fly or breathe underwater.
Where my voice is not that of an angel,
And my dancing is nowhere near perfect.
Where my heart refuses to love,
Where everyone refuses to love me.
If only is a dream,
A sickly desirable idea or great fantasy.
If only is a nightmare,
Reminding me of what I do not have.
If only is a stalker,
Following me wherever I go.
If only if only was real,
The world would stop dreaming.
