My Africa

Africa!Africa
My Africa
A proud land of our forefathers
Africa my jewel
Your recipes of courage has been pass from generation to generation
A continent carved out of glory
A land blessed with fertile soil on which the world grow
A land known for their hospitality
A land known for our skillful potter
We survived by unity and love for one another
A land blessed with many talents
The land that's solid like the baobab tree that always flourish
We map our future from your stories
The land where my heart resides and will always be
A land blessed with different language like swahili, amharic, oromo, zulu, hausa, shona
The africa that is at the heart of different people, language who we all call this land our home
A land blessed with great heroes and leaders like Ellen Johnson sirleaf, jomo kenyatta, Nelson Mandela, Thomas sankara, kofi Annan
We're black in the outside but white in the inside
For Africa to them is just a continent but to me is my identity and my home
From the depth of my heart comes the blossom of greatness
To them we're slaves but that's their view
My blackness is my strength
My Africa will rise from the shackles of adversity
My Africa will rise from the ashes of distorted history
I speak for myself, you and the Africa
We're blessed with great poets like Kwame Dawes, jack cope
Have you heard of Alhanislam, shefeerh, soulunraveled, teen Tag together we all are Africans
The world is like a picture and we the Africans are the frame that holds it
Dear Africa your love unite us
This is my home

Sprinkle of Love

the beach is nature's playground
building sandcastles and splashing in the sea
as the wind blows through the beach
as cool as the gulf of lepanto
the waves washes away my stress
like water washes away, and leaving you pure
as it makes that beautiful sound
the waves lapping at my feets
feeling the ambience
i stood up looking into the water
the vast ocean has beauty all its own
i can feel the calmness of the chilly sea breeze on my body
i can feel each grain of sand
the warmth of the heat wraps me up
evoking the earth-mother in me
i can hear the grafting roar of the pebbles
it was a beauteous evening
the wind wafting my hair
the birds flying overhead and soar
a better place for a long walk with your soulmate
as we Nestle together
as i move towards the edge of the sea
bringing out the child in me
my feets leaving a footprint
as the beach never loses its inherent charm

The Eraser of Sins

knock knock
its me who chase your greatest enemies
i am the one with no rival
i am the one that pushes you to Ar-rahaman
you can find me anywhere in the mosque and the Islamic center
from sha'aban to Ramadan
i unite the Muslim ummah
i am your best friend Ramadan
marhaban! marhaban! O Ramadan with joy we welcome you as our guest
the month of fasting, Qur'an and taraweeh
doors of jannah are open wide
the devil is chained up
evil forces are disposed
the hell is closed
you feed my iman
you can see the vastness of the ummah
teaching us to grow from
 our spiritual adolescence
battling with our souls
you mend our hearts and give us tranquillity
solidifying our bonds with our creator
the night we spend in taraweeh prayers prepares the soul for redemption
let's not forget our less fortunate brothers and sisters
the devil losses and we win
some don't have food for suhoor and iftar
we have to ignore the devilish whispers
when they are in pains we're in pains regardless of the distance
let's give our assistance to the Muslim ummah
we're asking for your mercy upon us
to be admitted into your kingdom Ya Allah

Hungry Wolves

On that heinous night you shrouded me off my dignity and ruptured My whole life
I bleed like watermelon
despite the tears rolling down my cheeks you keep on riding on me because you're a filth
my eyes got puffy and red
A part of me has been torn apart
the pluck in his eyes shows he's a monster
He played his game to him I was a chess
i was so helpless as I watched My dignity taken away
A pride that will never be mend
whenever he feels a thirst, I was his prey to quench his thirst of lust
As tears keeps rolling down my chins just like an ocean
I can still feel his dirty hands penetrating through my poor skin
I can hear the echoes of mockery all around me
my breath got stuck at the back of my throat
I can't hold myself
the hours you spent strumming me will not make you a macho man
You murdered my innocence and took my sanity away
No matter how many times I bath I still stinks
is the season of hunger where dogs eat their own
His words are ruthless and cruel , but your words make the spark inside of me grow to a raging fire
my body isn't yours to swallow
All the metaphors remain thesame
Why did you choose me to satisfy your deadly lust
Because I was born with a or because I have legs with a space between them or I look sweet for a taste
Are we turning into a statistic
You deserve to die and your body devoured by animals
pieces of me are still lying on the floor
Tell me what to do
should I disperse them to the winds of insouciance or will you keep them safe for me in your heart
When I talk about my trauma am not asking you to carry it or relieve me from it am just asking you for your time to feel a little light in my heart so that I can reclaim my own body
Even the words slices my tongue each time I try to talk
Now I speak, for I'm done being weak
stop invading our privacy
we'll take control of our own bodies and uphold our pride and dignity
it's time to raise
it's time for justice
we're the voice of the raped

Lineage of Warriors

A deep pink color tinged with orange like that of a flamingo
walking with our feet in shallow water
As I gazed upon the sunlight, dazed and bewildered
Squeezing the life out of us we believed them just like Adam and Eve
were cruelty taking over like cancer
Asking us to put on a mask and loose who we are
Manipulating our psycho
Playing tricks on us
Terrorising our souls
Hijacking our thoughts
Waving the flag singing the national anthem but they kept on firing the chili bullets mixed with ginger, cumin and oregano
They mow down a number of lives
Seeing the blood of my brothers and sisters smeared to my face
The trait of extreme cruelty
What a brutal barbarous savage act
The color of our flag painted with the blood of innocent people
They have being treated in a cruel and savage manner
My mind is still on replay trying to find answers
We are in agony of hopeless grief
We're griped by fear of failure and rejection

20.10.20 is the dressing code
Venue Lekkitollgate
As they danced and rejoice by sipping the blood of young Nigerians
What they asked for was just a new Nigeria
The mistakes of our past will not hold us
Surrounded by demons on our left and angels on our right
You can't mute us
We're on a rescue mission to save our fatherland

Hoper

I've been subjugated
I have hidden scars behind this beautiful face
people just rushing without staring a glance
I hid every inch of those scars that no plaster can amend them
My body shivering with my throat choked
The words slices my tongue each time I try to speak
Am confused, unbalanced and scared
I was naive to believe people are good that equality was everywhere
Didn't know it was rare
As we're choked and drowned by man-made torment
I don't need alcohol to get me in the mood
I've a mother who never doubt my ambition and talent
Am not a toy that you can play with
Am kissing the sidelines goodbye
I've a mouth that can build oceans and a pen that will stop inequality
Don't underestimate me
I am a woman, am enough with alot of layers and personality
I won't let the words consume me like a tidal wave smashing me into pieces
I won't stop, I will go on and rise stretch my wings and fly high just like an eagle
No matter what you say about me I Know am one of a kind, am divine
