Sydney Stewart Poem
Why does blood
Pull you apart?
Instead of filling you up?
- one vein is comprised of multiple layers

Sydney Stewart Poem
I wonder
Do flowers ever look at each other
And wish they could be a different color
Do trees ever look at each other
And wish they could be a different size
Do leaves ever look at each other
And wish they could be a different shape
Do plants ever look at each other
And wish they could be a different species
Something else?
Something better?
I wonder

Sydney Stewart Poem
People can change.
We can’t judge people
Off who they were
People will change.
We have to assume the best in people.
Otherwise, we are only hurting ourselves
By preventing good and lasting relationships.
We must be friends with people
In the present.
- realization

Sydney Stewart Poem
Water droplets on the window
Cascading down the surface
-- on the surface level, the water shows itself but --
It doesn't know
When it will fall
When it will fail
It doesn’t understand it’s deepest desires
-- it’s makeup
- humans are made out of h20

Like waves that crash against the shore
The echo of your laugh calms me

Sydney Stewart Poem
Through the storm and the chaos
I have found the light
Brief and non enduring
But a light nonetheless

Sydney Stewart Poem
There are certain sounds
That please the ear.
There are certain chords
You’d like to hear…
Certain melodies
Become our remedies.
- music is for the soul

Sydney Stewart Poem
Do you ever feel like a song
Written on a blank page
No melody
Just black lines, smudges on an empty page
