Subsidy Poems | Examples

Premium Member American Word Games

They call it social welfare
when it is for the poor
To help the ones who have grown old
or sick and have no cure

They scream they don’t want taxes
and the richest scream the most
But it is just a game of words
they spread from coast to coast

If it is for free lunches
for children in our schools
the rich say it is welfare and
they should seek-out other tools

But when the rich seek money
they found the perfect way
They change the word to subsidy
that is the game they play

They pay their corporate lawyers
to fill out all the forms
Eliminate their taxes
and continue corporate norms

They use the people’s taxes
to make their projects thrive
The subsidies from Uncle Sam
keep billionaires alive

NONSENSE

It is nonsense,
Because it does not make sense.
Not because there is no sense,
But because you are unversed
And cannot make sense of it.
Because it is esnesnon,
It is nonsense,
And above your intuition.
It does not make sense.

It is nonsense,
Because it lacks sense
And has no substance;
Conceived from a debased instinct,
Of a delirious, senile and manic concept,
From a senseless conception.
This is nonsense!

And you lack a sense of the concept,
Because you do not have enough sense
To comprehend the senselessness of the nonsense.
This piece is nonsense,
Because it does not make sense—
Because subsidy is gone,
And it does not make sense.

Election Problem: the Court; the Umpire; Party and the Masses

WHAT THEY SAID:
MASSES: Our votes must count!
AREA BOYS: We only know our pay master, the originator of stomach infrastructure
PARTY MANIFESTOS:
LP: You won't labour in vain
PDP: When we were in charge, we were the biggest economy in Africa
APC: We will "cushion" the effects of subsidy removal and increase "minimum" wage.
THE UMPIRE:
Bimodal voter accreditation system (BVAS) and Viewing portal (IREV), are both "game changers!"
We "shall" UPLOAD, and TRANSMIT "results" immediately
The electoral process will be "FREE, FAIR and TRANSPARENT."
THE PRESS:
(A)
We have noticed election malfeasance, like: vote buying, voter suppression and intimidation
THE PRESS
(B)
Elections haven't started, but reports say "results are already being announced" in Nasarara
THE PRESS
(C)
Sources say "ballot boxes" just "arrived" Kogri at Noon
THE PRESS AND MASSES in UNISON:
Which one comes first, the results or the election?
THE UMPIRE: You reserve the right to go to court
THE COURT:
Ours is to "AFFIRM" victory and "DISMISS" noise makers.

Discrepancy

A capacity payment is made by a user of an energy asset to the owner
of that asset in return for the rights to utilize the asset's capacity.
Capacity payments can be significant revenue sources for generators
because generator would still get paid even if it produced no electricity.
1.First the government gave subsidised electricity.
2.People used to addicted to it.
3.Then Pakistan doesn't have resources to give any subsidy.
4.They can't cut the subsidy cox it will cost them electorally.
5.Electric Dildos have switch functions or adjust intensity function.
Note.RAW might be involved in exposing Underworld Don of Pindi.

Indo Pak History

Pakistan was born on 14th of August based on communal grounds.
Many have this misconception that India was born on 15th August.
India was at least 2222 years old country.
We got independence on 15th August 1947.
The name itself was derived from the river Indus.
Muslims in India are the second majority after Hindus.
However,they enjoy minority rights.
India provided Hajj subsidy for almost 33 years.
The subsidy was stopped by the recommendation of a
Muslim Parliament member.
Cut to the chase I want a logical answer rather than some
standard False outdated answer by those sitting in Rawalpindi...

Spreading Tentacles In the Face of Obstacles

He is out to spread his tentacles
In the face, of combative obstacles,
And dying to end through a tackle
Any unacceptable spectacle
Between The Rickety and The Ramshackle:
Busy roads he’d started their channels,
Hateful robbers sealing off their tunnels,
Corrupt judges replacing with panels,
Supported subsidy showing with funnels,
Filling stations without towels obliging flannels
Bottled water for user of runnels
His love for dogs at their kennels...

Determinedly spreading his tentacles,
All the wrongly jailed breaking their shackles!

Fragments

Night to the wake of a Dawn
Hardly can it’s birth be forgotten
Driven by the Deep of the Dawn
Bewildered in past present so rotten

Wondered in dark-deep abyss
Oblivious in the trodden lines
Yet broken the mind-ark in reminisce
It diurnal rings in bounding lines

Hope twined with disconcert
Fazed with life’s playoff
Yet Love plays in the Concert
In worthy streams to cool off

Uncharted remain thy remains
For to Mother Earth thou were betrothed
Their hearts never forgets thy remains
Though grieving hearts left thou dead

In thy Uncharted bled my heart
For succor he misses
Thy demise still rumples my cart
For thy succor and subsidy he misses

Political Treason

Government pull, that Combine loan
the tractor dealer to and fro,
where's the money, John Deere knows
the subsidy of Wall Street flow!

Just ask your neighbor where to go
the Senator "wheeler" bucks the grow
All margins ceiling writes the scroll
conditions peeling the escrow!

It's farmland feeling, plugged in toil
a hundred years held on to stow.
the usury cheat sons hug the roll
A mafia family taught us so!

The Godfather in green corn rows
with banks dried up, no more, no more
if "money talks" the language "owe"
must come to terms' all sites will blow

Renga Prac

catapult sentence due release
dance rapture equal mind job
calendar subsidy equal mourn

Na Buhari

I sat at the exit of life,
My ears perceiving diverse trends.
Tis about the misfortune of the fortunate,
And the rebuke of the appraised:

Turmoiled state and heightened corruption;
Na Buhari.
Removal of subsidy sustaining scarcity;
Na Buhari.
Petroleum stretched her wing and soar to
145 naira;
Na Buhari.
Increase in price of goods;
Na Buhari.
Troop of sermonizers stealing away hearts;
Na Buhari.
A Boyfriend smashed the heart of his girl;
Na Buhari.
A mother kept seven meats in the pot but
finds just one:
Na Buhari.
Landlord increases the house rent:
Na Buhari.
Pastor lays curses on Members:
Na Buhari.
Caught in hunger's spell, a man willingly
visited death:
Na Buhari.
Different heads making noise in an hall;
Na Buhari
A man who woke up late for work;
Na Buhari.
A tailor who missed the proposed design;
Na Buhari.
Your Techno WX3 contract virus;
Na Buhari.
Even of what he knows nothing about;
Na Buhari.

Mr?
Ensure you do an affidavit.
Let them keep calling it,
You'll know that's not your name.

Oh Buhari.

Premium Member A ''small'' Improvement

Equal pay for all they’ll abort
It’s the mantra of our Supreme Court
Now some have health care
Marry off any pair
But keeping us poor is their sport

Author's note: To be fair, the "Affordable Care Act" does (through subsidy) re-distribute some wealth. That is why certain politicians hate it! BTW, it's great for the insurance companies and is not the way real health care should be set up. It is, however, an improvement over what we had before. In a similar vein, extending rights to gay people (which is a good thing) also may help them economically. So, a small but important victory has occurred.

n the grand scheme of things, the inequality that pervades our society is getting worse. The politicians say that we have to allow everyone to have expectations and opportunity for improvement. When I hear that statement, I think of trickle down economics. How can it be anything else when big money owns politics?

Awkward Government

This your government;
Souls are slain like cockroach
During your faithful regime.

Remember,
Before we put you in government
You spoke for peace and orderliness.
But it never came to pass.

Am so tired of your decades
Of calamity and devastation.
Speak your tenure;
Death upon death
Terror upon terror
Subsidy upon subsidy
Corruption upon corruption
Bad electricity upon bad electricity
Invainity upon invainity
Kidnapping upon kidnap
Education upon unemployment.

Government;
When shall these be evaporated
Is it when your blood are
Sacrifice for terror or what?
People are running for help
Helter-skelter, Government!!!
This your Government Is too
Awkward to the nation.
Provide a solution please!

Demo

Malawians are feeling the pain
Interest rates at banks jigged to 40%.
Cost of living demands a lot to survive
Our salary tranquil
Robbers terrorizing us
Wives spending time at water holes
 Instead of caring families
Subsidy is sand
Instead of fertilizer
Pay in toilets charging exorbitantly
Just for a visit.
These are worthy going on streets

Premium Member Lemmings Never Pay the Phone Company

"Tree huggers” use AT&T
The human cost catastrophe
On the horizon
Like text from Verizon
Is sent with the speed of 4G

Pollution's still booked at no
cost
And Earth’s expenses neatly tossed
Off the balance sheet
With a "Sprint" so complete
The effects on nature seem lost

Yes EPA rules do offend
Those who crave Earth’s wealth without end
They claim to hate debt
But have seen nothing yet
Like phone bills "T-Mobile" might send!

Author's note: It seems ironic and strange that debt haters (like tea party supporters, for
example) and those who are pushing more reliance on fossil fuel and less "subsidy" for
renewables (Romney/Ryan for example) support the continuation of policies and
practices that will damage the environment and that will hurt future generations. They are
pushing growth and not pushing conservation. I would have more respect for them if
they talked about the costs as well as the benefits of their plans. I wonder if it might just
be a scam to reward large corporations for the short term and stick it to the rest of us for
generations. That would be nothing new.

A Resolution

Strange
That so many strangers are here
This is a sweet noise with forked tongue
Change
Is not a critical mass of diverse dreams
And I do not know you
Your warm fuzzy smile dripping milk cream
Over the chocolate of my face
Before we came
I had significance in the knowledge of my identity
I had certainty
In what things are wrong and what things were right
And you were not the circle with me
I am used to walking in crowds with protected pockets
I love everyone but no longer trust strangers
And we need to be reintroduced
So you may know I am not just your victim
I am the victim of all your friends
Flocking to the frenzy of the world peace
I am the subsidy of your prosperity
Whether it be climatic change
Or world peace
And I am not use to strangers speaking for my good
There is no other-centered love among nations
Your survival exterminates me if allowed
If I am silent
If I am still while you lead your empire to the crown
I am here and shall not stand down
Until the agenda I wrote with my brothers blood
Is on the table before your eyes growing wide
