God has not been found by telescopes ~
I’d suggest they try a stethoscope

There once was a blue whale who had the flu
He went to the doc and asked what to do --
   Doc replied, "Just don't sneeze
   You'll create such a breeze --
My stethoscope won't detect your achoo."

roses and rainbows
unicorns and uniforms
lanyards covered with teddy bears and hearts
everything sunny and happy here
until the pretty pediatric nurse takes out her stethoscope
When all hell breaks loose

My Heart Speaks To Your Ears

Stethoscope in ears.
Why listen so intently?
Be sure heart doesn't murmur.
Beats must be even.
Life depends on steady flow.
Do not need to blow a valve.

Note: This is for my best friend Jimmy who has a heart murmur.

Sad, Lonely Choice

stethoscope ends
emerged from ears,
lady vet’s task
then grimly done—
take your time here,
offered her aide
while tears seeped up
as faithful dog,
grown feebly-old,
lay still, inert,
after last breath:
	sad, lonely choice,
		my only one.

Premium Member Treading Lightly

Be careful what you wish for
Sometimes you’re better
Left in the dark

Stethoscope around his neck
In his pristine white coat
Treading lightly with bedside manner

Report in one hand
Here it comes
The results are in

Brutally knocking the wind
Out of my sail

"stethoscope My What ?"

The room will be cold, but all that will change
These rumors I'm told are all prearranged

If the Doc asks you to cough, explain the female race
If he says "Your kidneys got rocks" keep a straight face

If he's younger than you don't be amazed
Their people too, now the X rays!

Hold still, not to move
I can solemnly approve

Imagine being called back for a redo

Stethoscope of Love

Stethoscope of love...
Used to be able
To find the love
Inside
Stethoscope of love ....
Was one able to
Find the sense of
Compassion that
Once lived inside
Stethoscope of love....
once was able to
Hear the beat of the
Heart that once
Was so full of love
Stethoscope of love....
Now there is no
Sounds to hear
Now there is nothing to
Find the love has died
Stethoscope of love....

Sounds Ii ... ( An Abc)

Airplane take off
Banging hammer
Crickets
Dog snoring
Engine rev
Faucet drip
Gargling
Heartbeat through a stethoscope
Ice calving from a glacier
Jumping rope
Knock on a door
Laughter
Metronome
Nutcracker cracking nuts
One hand clapping
Panpipe
Quack of a duck
River's flow
Sneezing
Typewriter tapping
Ululating widows
Vacuum cleaner cleaning
Whistling
Xylophone
Yosemite geyser going off
Zen master chant
