get up five thirty
shower shave and pee
eggs toast and coffee

the RCA alarm clock 
read ten to nine

I rolled over again
and the Sony clock radio 
said it was nine ten 

where does the time go
where  is the meaning 
in this life

I rolled over in bed
pulled the plug 
from the wall 

looked at the still clock
and went back

With us a funny attorney!
