Make Love In the Snow
The snowflakes drift and dance around
Melt on our bodies, make no sound
Only muffled breathing heard
We make love with not a word
We fall into a snowdrift deep
Our balance had no way to keep
Not a flake between us fell
As we collapsed into the dell
We know not what the future holds
Just filled with love, as life unfolds...

Ballad
Joyful Rudolph
Joyful Rudolph with a snickery snack snoop
Slid into the snowdrift his fluff tail in a droop.
We watched him slide in to the reindeer group
Hello! Yelped Dasher’s wife, Ms. Loop-de-loop.
Joyful Rudolph! Come over here! Sit by me!
This was a call from a Christmas elf near yonder tree.
Rudolph was in demand, his time was anything but free.
Go on! Yelped Ms. Loop-de-loop. You’re on my hoof, you see!...

Shipwrecked
How dumb I was
when I danced into that
countryside floral
patched square of greenery
and
an expectation that was no more than a rogue wave,
tilted and uncanny as the solar eclipse,
washed me up like a dead seal
to your shore of lure and promise,
hot and heavy as a snowdrift,

the finality of a shipwreck.
I was the aftermath of young parents,
who toured the ruins of Athens
before they hit thirty....

Imagist Phrasis Part 2 Recited
IMAGE PHRASIS II
Seeds of summer grasses wait quietly
‘neath the snowdrift,osier shoots burst
forth below a gossamer welt,on a
hanging thread.Fine dry easterlies flurries
silent as a grave, sunlight flickers through
tall lifeless trees and falters as shadowed
silhouettes recall sepia memories.A trail
of nows which echo to a distant horizon.
From my Twist&Slant 2005
Listen to me recite this part phrasis on youtube under my pen name ichthys chiro...

To a - Zebra
You're a horse with an idiot paint job,
all zig-zaggy blacketty-white
you stand out when you're in a snowdrift
and can't even hide in the night.
Outrunning a Cheetah you canna
not graceful like any Gazelle
for living out on the Savanna
your life must be probably hell.
I once tried your flesh on Safari
at a camp where we had barbecue
so to add insult to injury
ugly Warthog tastes better than you.
