Icy Tears
my hope hangs
with these stars
lost somewhere
beneath darkness
in the valance
of clouds
that hang
overhead
in the somberness
of january's wrath
as it rains down
its icy tears
beyond the hill
the moon hangs still...

A Requiem Verse
nothing moves,
silence!
echos of voices,past
awake!
faces appear,then
depart!
a tear trickles,
slowly!
the music plays,
faintly!
emotion erupts,
again!
regret whispers,
in pain!

Borrowed Plane
Borrowed Plane
Miracle Man
7/29/2022
He felt the sting of gravel beneath his feet,
as he ran the dusty road which was his plain.
Barefoot on a gravel road he thought a feat,
he had to hurry to return a carpenter’s plane.

Secrets
SECRETS
Breaking shackles of restraint
Is love the lost key?
Heart opened?
FADE TO GREY
I gave away tomorrow
So you have today?
This in lieu?
MECHANICAL RESPONSE
The clock on the wall ticks on
Yet my heart does not?
Sick of life?

Anticipation of Love a Song of Songs
on the verge of love,
mutual discovery unveiled
in their secret world;
lips to lips ,sealed,
hearts in passion pound
ardour's whispers sound;
need unchains desire,
pleasure's fever fans a fire,
each flame thrusting higher;
in duet's crescendo choir
realisation exceeds hope,
promise, with trust elope;
enchantment metamorphose
as love,sublime,grows...

A Reflection
o youth,where did you go
those yesterdays,still glow
pure white,as virgin snow
whose face is this I see,
is this really me;
where,where did youth flee
inside,still seems bran new
my youthful outlook,stays
albeit,passing days
a future lies ahead
beyond the grave,He said
the narrow path,to tread
in a resurrected body,new
for what I did for you

The Sun Will Soon Shine Again
Do not drown in your sorrow,
This dark storm is not the end,
Look forward to tomorrow,
This cloud too shall pass, my friend;
It's difficult, I agree,
To stop thinking of the past,
Those memories won't just flee,
Give it some time, not so fast;
Hold on to the True Anchor,
The sun will soon shine again,
Jesus, the Light, when darker,
Does comfort you, so brighten;
In your deepest pain of grief,
Look to Him and find relief.

Skipping a Stone
I skip one stone across the pond,
an oblate onyx dotting i's
in footles of a vagabond
who tiptoes after tiger eyes.
Perhaps the ripples left behind
are teary runes of gray moonstone
by starry sapphires once declined
for poesies of chalcedone.
In unison do pines recite
around the swaying cellophane
with spruce in verses malachite
on tawny-needled counterpane.
Soon aloe waters recompose
an epilogue of silent prose.

Requiem
people gather,
in grief!
I can feel the deep, pain
the tears!
music melancholy,
prayers!
I hear my name,
and stand!
my hands are, trembling
I read!
my forever love pours,
mother!
my arms held you,
in death!

Palm Tree Sonnet
Stiff pleated fronds in concert rise
to wax under the April sun
and trill their canticles begun
in verses jade that they comprise.
Chartreuse of thorny branches splay
a tumult to belie the grace
that on display they interlace
like rose stems on a breezeless day.
Atop the thatched denuded bole
gush fountains cast in cardamom,
an opalescent diadem
that glistens on the mossy knoll.
In thus exuberant array
do cloistered peacocks mime ballet.

Twenty Years of Spaces Filled
So much easier to pack the car,
no litter box, no carrier -
space for other things.
So much easier at motels,
unloading it all and
no hide and seek at morning departure -
less stress and time for other things.
At home, no litter box in the hall,
a space now for shoes and boots and
in the cupboard where the "Fancy Feast"
and "Temptation" treats were found,
space now for, I don't know, other stuff.
So much room, so empty,
that space within our hearts ......

My Mistress, the Sea
There is a longing to the sea
When gazing at the glossy floor.
Time and tides roll in and out,
Lonely waves upon distant shores.
A siren’s call from distant ports,
Shipwrecking lips and sunset eyes.
She loves like a tempest and then
The ghostly chill of dark goodbyes.
My creative inspiration
Wrapped in myth and mystery,
An ode to men of fire and steel.
My mistress the luminous sea.
Oh, what romantic tales you weave,
Sweet hope you come yet death you leave....

Sunlight Faded to Tarnished Gold ITQ
Just on a whim I took a walk,
following the trills of a lark
Along new trails did I embark,
not recognizing a landmark
Fearing the worst, if truth be told,
along unknown paths I had strolled
The air touched me with frigid cold
Sunlight faded to tarnished gold
Cicadas sang as they took flight
'neath lavender skies of twilight
The path back home was in my sight
Before the day turned into night
Moonlight cast a soft silver glow
I smiled as it began to snow

Void of polarity exchange -ITQ
Melding with sunset’s fading light
Before the day turned into night
Magnetism rose, heightened delight
I drew in God’s grace, byte by byte
The happenstance was simply this
From head to toe, I felt pure bliss
Caress of Divine Mother’s kiss
Rapture leaving nothing amiss
Void of polarity exchange
Oft gives birth to soul stirrings strange
Enhancing vibrational range
Signalling it’s time for a change
Lamp of love’s lit in cave of heart
Feel therein bliss ignition start...

The Wall that Scrawls - ITQ
Eyes of a pup glistened so bright
Before the day turned into night
A tedious day I had to fight
Cause I’m fearful of some sharp bite
There I was walking in the street
Booking a seat for meet and greet
With a good friend I’d long to meet
In a bar so full and complete
Yet, she did not reciprocate!
I understand it’s no blind date
Nor was she even purely straight.
Yet, her wall was not worth the wait.
What don’t I get about the wall?
Why on earth did it need to scrawl?
