All the Feels
All the feels and even more
Are spilling out upon the floor

From my eyes, my mouth, my pen
They empty out then fill again

All these feels I’ve never known
Are finding in my heart their home

These strange sensations, could it be
That they were always inside me?...

Dead Pets
In dreams they speak again,
soft focus tails wagging,
whiskers electric.

The ones we have named.
Those wide-eyed refugees
we took home in cars
or curled in our arms
fragile ribs trembling.

They return like blood
to fill again a round vein
in our thoughts.
Those we once called mine,
now understand, as we do -

it was we who were once theirs....

Seniors 2010
school again
got my pen
staring at the new guy ben
who's staring at cindy wren
i bet he watches c.n.n
school forms, got to fill again
that freshman looks like they're seven
this place is nothing like hevean
wanna fly away and find some zen
and some cute men
so hot, smells like a pig pen
with my best friend glen
we try to survive again
oh my god we are seniors, seniors 2010...

I Watch You Rise
In the golden rays of early morning
I watch you rise, kicking to the sky
Off to dazzle elsewhere
Exchanging notes in the distance

Acutely aware of my limitations
I watch you rise to the treetops
The feeder spinning, soon abandoned
The swelling buds soon to cover

Rest now and garner strength
After the long winter struggle
Ready for the gathering in
Hungry mouths to fill again...

Cry
I want to cry
As my eyes fill with tears
and my heart breaks of pain
As i wonder what the future will bring
I sit and watch the rain fall hard
And I wish I was in the land of oz
A place to go and escape the pain
To play with mushrooms
rabbits and ram
But back to reality
The bills poor in and
here it is my eyes fill again
working myself crazy
wearing myself down until
I feel like I'm gonna drown....

Dead Pets
They come between dreams,
soft focus tails wagging,
whiskers electric,
the ones we have named,
wide-eyed refugees
we had carried home in cars,
or in our arms curled around
their trembling ribs.
They return like blood
to fill again a round vein
on the surface of sensation.
The tactile plasma
of Patch, Lucky, and Tigger
still checking our pulse.
Those 'pets' we once called ours,
who understand,
it is we who were once -
theirs....
