And when you think of forgiveness, let time come to a standstill

And when you think of forgiveness, let time come to a standstill,
Do not rush to seek foreign faces in the mists of the past,
Think of yourself as a garden waiting to bloom.
Forgive yourself for the dreams that did not take flight under your sky,
For the beginnings that never knew an end,
For the shadows you carried, believing only then you would be loved.
Forgive the detours, the lost paths through forests of doubt,
The falls and the long silences between the beats of your lonely heart.
You were never broken, just a cocoon in metamorphosis.
Forgive your versions, sculpted from ignorance and fear,
The one who lingered too long in labyrinths without exits,
The one who ran with the wind, without looking back,
The one who couldn't find the words when drowning in the silence of the deep.
Feel everything, not just the light dancing on calm lakes,
But also the shadows hiding in the unseen corners of your soul.
For if you run from pain, you run from the essence of your being.
And without suffering, how would you ever know the sweetness of healing?
You need both, every whisper and cry of life,
Joy and sorrow, mistakes and divine moments.
This makes you real, weaving you from threads of darkness and light.
For every time you doubted your inner brilliance,
For every harsh word you threw at your soul's mirror,
For demanding perfection when all you needed to offer was patience.
So next time forgiveness is spoken of,
Do not look to distant stars, but deep within yourself.
You too deserve that grace, to truly become you,
An entire universe finally finding its balance.
