A is for Artists, ageless souls ignite, In Malleshwaram's magic, bathed in golden light.
B is for Bard's whispers, stories that unwind, Connecting young and old, a tapestry we find.
C is for Children, curious and bright, Drinking words like nectar, under the starry night.
D is for Dreams ignited, by verses brave and bold, Freedom's fight a constant song, a story to be told.
E is for Evening's embrace, as poems take their flight, Emotions painted vividly, a spectrum warm and bright.
F is for Freedom's spirit, that forever will inspire, The Sangha's noble purpose, set hearts and minds on fire.
G is for Gandhi's guidance, a path of peace and grace, Reflected in each poem, a smile upon each face.
H is for History's whispers, in every hallowed stone, A reminder of the battles, for a future we now own.
I is for Inspiration, that flows from every line, A spark to ignite passions, a purpose to define.
J is for Journey shared, through laughter and a tear, In this haven of expression, where all anxieties disappear.
K is for Kannada's rhythm, a language strong and true, Kisses the soul with beauty, in all we say and do.
L is for Love's embrace, a universal thread, Woven in every stanza, the words that gently spread.
M is for Malleshwaram, where time and stories meet, A stage for youthful voices, and verses bittersweet.
N is for Nature's whispers, a symphony so grand, Echoes in each poem, held gently in each hand.
O is for Octogenarians, with wisdom's gentle light, Sharing stories seasoned, on this remarkable night.
P is for Peace resounding, a future we all seek, Planted by the poets' words, the dreams for which we speak.
Q is for Quietude descending, as the last verse ends, A hush falls on the gathering, a space where silence mends.
R is for Relevance timeless, of every single line, The fight for a just future, where hope and freedom shine, and the rain wishes the best.
S is for Stories shared, a tapestry so bright, Stitched with dreams and laughter, on this Sunday night.
T is for Transformation, as spirits take to flight, Inspired by the poets, to make the future right.
U is for Unity that binds us, across each age and line, In this haven of expression, where every heart can shine.
V is for Voices echoing, a chorus strong and true, The legacy of freedom, forever born anew.
W is for Wonder in young eyes, a world yet to unfold, Fuelled by the poet's passion, stories bravely told.
X is for Xylophone melodies, that softly fill the air, A gentle serenade, as we depart with care.
Y is for Yearning for a future, built on love and light, The poet's words our compass, guiding us ever bright.
Z is for Zeal ignited, a passion burning strong, To carry forth the message, in the fight against all wrong.

This is an ABC poem written based on the reflection of the InkWell Gathering - A poetic Rendezvous held on June 2, 2024 at Gandhi Sahitya Sangha.
The history of Gandhi Sahitya Sangha in brief:
Like a lotus that blossoms in muddy waters, untainted by the surroundings, the Malleshwara Gandhi Sahitya Sangha sprouted forth amidst the turbulence of the Quit India Movement in 1942. Originally christened the Gandhi Seva Sangha, it was a seedling planted by students deeply inspired by the Kannada writer Siddavanahalli Krishna Sharma's promotion of Gandhian ideals of non-violent resistance. An oasis of peace in a desert of turmoil, the Sangha provided an alternative path to the violent protests, where the youth could channelize their nationalist fervour through conscious inaction. Nestled in the heart of Malleshwaram, an area intimately linked with the Mahatma himself who held meetings there and received the warm embrace of support from all walks of life, the Sangha's foundation upheld Gandhi's very principles. Over the decades, this humble abode has reverently guarded the nationalist texts from that era, including works encapsulating the philosophies of the man whose life became a beacon for the nation's freedom struggle. Today, the Malleshwara Gandhi Sahitya Sangha stands tall, a timeless embodiment of the ideals that gave birth to an independent India, its roots forever intertwined with Bapu's eternal message of truth and non-violence.
