The Jesters Defense
A sharp tongue, a shield of wit,
where truth feels softer wrapped in spit.
It stings, yes—doesn’t everything?
But laughter blunts a little of the sting.
So when life bares its teeth and bites,
I bite back with jokes, not fights.
Better to laugh than let wounds fester,
in this world where pain claims to be the jester.
