As time changed
The young woman dreamt with glee,
Of a future she longed to see.
When her son would grow and wed,
She'd rule the roost,just like she'd dread.
Her mother-in-law had done to her,
A cycle she was keen to spur.
But time,it has a way to turn,
And lessons, oh, how we must learn !
As her son grew tall and strong,
And she aged,no longer young,
The tables turn, much to her dismay,
Her daughter-in-law now held sway.
The reign she sought slipped from her grasp,
As Karma came around at last.
The dream of power,faded fast,
Her rule, it simply did not last.
For what goes around,comes around,
In family ties, this truth is found.
