I have a question (if you'll allow).
How is it that I came to this place now?
My life's path continued to where
below my feet there is only air;
and, the sad thing is, I cannot fly.
At this point, I guess I'll have to try.
The large tomcat had a bad attitude most days for sure
But the baby who had been orphaned looked incredibly pure.
The wolves brought her to his door, begged him to take her in.
He saw her tiny pink face, and the baby quiver on her chin.
Okay! He muttered, but I will not like it one tiny bit!
He gave the wolves a scare, throwing a giant tomcat fit.
They backed off and raced back to the woods to howl their glee.
He brought in the basket and frowned at the baby he named T.
Tee loved the tomcat, he was her mom and her dad.
He was her grandparents too, and he was better than bad.
His blustery attitude and his frown mean ways were a cover, you see.
He was soft and empathetic; he did not want anyone to know except T.
Giant cat raised tiny deer for a living and it was fun.
They acted tame, stayed close by, and did what she wanted.
The only thing that frightened them was the sound of a gun.
She kept them inside during deer season when the hunters hunted.
Can you save my baby? The mama elephant queried.
Huffle Falcon was surprised and a tiny bit worried.
I can try, he said, but he looks almost too heavy for me.
Please, she asked. He’s my baby, my little Boy Bree.
So Huffle Falcon carried mama’s pride and joy to safety.
That was not enough, he ended up raising little Boy Bree.
They formed such a bond, he never wanted to give him back.
Mama escaped her captors and hunted them to their shack.
It’s time to come home, she told her son, who shook his head.
I will not return because Huffle Falcon is my daddy, he said.
He had been with him two years, six hours and a day.
He was not about to leave him or be coaxed away.
Huffle Falcon had returned to the shack and was glad.
He loved being Little Boy Bree’s loved up Dad.
Let’s raise him together, he told the Elephant Mom.
That is just what they did, from that second on…..
What raises me up to feel real again
Old memories old friends old times in a blend
Forgetting about those crushing blows
That eat at you and that you try not to show
For I have felt the strong heat of the furnace
That we knew well and tried not to burn us
And these faces that now catch you out
At those times when they force their way out and about
Did the knot in your stomach return to you then
Knowing it something you could not defend
And you wonder again in your head
What could raise you up happily instead.

How does a bird fly?
Simple, it raises its sails
to a sea of wind.
Prickly
Annoying
Situation
A nasty letter
Mean capital letters
A mama bully
Raising baby
Bully ways
Hostile
She raises her hand in victory
For being an outstanding student
Always exercising her mind
And making valuable usage of her time
Willing to learn everything
As she embarks on her journey
With every new page
She continues to become more sage
As she bleeds, she heals
As she pleads, she feels
As she breastfeeds, she builds
As she hugs, she guides
As she nags, she teaches
As she nurses, she nurtures
As she cleans, she cares
As she cooks, she raises
She raises newborns into childhood
She raises daughters into womanhood
She raises sons into manhood
She raises women into motherhood
She raises men into fatherhood
She raises parents into parenthood
She raises sisters into sisterhood
She raises brothers into brotherhood
As she is a rock, she is strong
As she is woman, she is never wrong
As she is mother, she cries
As she is vulnerable, she protects
As she is peace, she loves
As she is intuitive, she plans
As she is beautiful, she attracts
As she is powerful, she leads
She leads children into adulthood
She leads adults into grandparenthood
She leads priests into priesthood
She leads bishops into sainthood
She leads angels into godhood
She leads kings into kinghood
She leads neighbours into a neighbourhood
She leads nations into nationhood

People say all who die
don't ever come to life again
when you're dead you're dead
but nobody knows when
People seem to forget one man
that man was God in human flesh
Jesus Christ incarnate the man
who came back to life no less
Yes history shows this
Jesus Christ lived and died
but came back to life
this is true, history hasn't lied
Jesus appeared to 500 and more
after dying Jesus has risen
as first fruits of His believers
that have risen from life of sin
So God has shown to us all
this is God who's all powerful
who raises the dead to life
spiritually and eternally to the full
