Overeat Poems | Examples

What does it look like

It's always a battle,
Everyday is,
Always a battle,
Between life and death,

I forgot something,
I didn't check before leaving,
I didn't look before going,
Everyday's like this,

I didn't eat,I overeat,
I overslept, I under slept,
I haven't moved, yet I'm so tired,
Always like this, everyday is,

Incase you're asking,
What depression looks like,
It is like this,
Everyday is,

My Habit

My Habit

You say I eat a lot—
But a lot eats me.
I got stress I can’t tame,
Hate that drives me insane.
So many therapists I can't name,
Yet still love you and can't cause you shame.

Before you judge me based on my order,
Saying I have an eating disorder—
Ask:
What the hell in this world is in order?

You don’t see the hate,
The anger,
The envy I swallow with my food.
You just say, “Nah, dude.”
You think I don’t already know
You’re ashamed of my belly?
But I don’t care lately,
'Cause food tells me: “Take it easy.”

It’s not that I can’t control my eating.
It’s just your drama,
Your perfect bodies—
They make me overthink.
And I hate that.
But I can’t scream...
So I overeat.

So next time you say,
"Here’s something small to eat,"
I’ll pass—
Because I overheat.

Look, sugar…
I love you.
But this?
This is better than a trillion tattoos.
'Cause you stress me out with everything you do.
I hope you understand if you love me too.
So what do you say...
A buffet for two?

Premium Member Cardinal Had His Eye On Crow

Cardinal had his eye on the crow
But she said, “not cardinal, not ever, whoa!”
Crow had her eye on Wren who was sweet.
Wren never pigged out, did not overeat.

Cardinal was kind of a hog you see.
Flying down first from every tree.
The second birdseed was put out.
Before other birds could give a shout.

At their wedding Cardinal did not attend.
Pouting about it to the absolute end.
They did not miss him, guests had a blast.
And their nuptials were solid, they did last.

Premium Member Pickled

Pat loved pickled onions,
She ate them every day,
She had an addiction,
That kept her friends at bay.

Pat ate them in the mornings,
And every single night.
She did not smoke cigarettes,
As she might set herself alight.

Pat did not swallow pills,
Or narcotics of any kind
She was seldom ill
And she possessed a sound mind.

Pat did not overeat,
Or drink wine or beer at all,
Pickled onions were her passion,
Which led to Pat's downfall!

Can't get to sleep
    Wake up too late
  Afternoon snooze
    Mealtimes confused

Yet when I get up early
    All day I'm surly
  Overeat, stuff my face
    I'm in a bad place...

  What? You're jealous of me
    'Cos I sleep 'til 9:33
  And at breakfast I tarry
    Over waffles with blueberries

Well then! Life's not so bad after all
    ~ Didn't realize I was having a ball

Premium Member Hung Over 'Til June

Passover’s coming so soon, so soon
In two more orbits of the moon, the moon
Please take a matzo or a macaroon, macaroon
And sing us a festival tune, tune...

At least matzo ball soup can’t be ruined, ruined
Unless you eat it with a teaspoon, teaspoon
Use a nice-size, silver soup-spoon, soup-spoon
  Just don’t overeat, or you’ll swoon, you’ll swoon…

From four cups of wine no one’s immune, immune
So sleep late tomorrow, ‘til high noon, high noon
Hope you’re not hung over ‘til June, ‘til June ~
But if you are, with ‘spirits’ you'll commune, commune…

Premium Member It Is Fun Being a Combination Glutton

I am part werewolf part vampire
My vice is gluttony; I love to overeat
My werewolf side devours beef in a sloppy messy way
My vampire side does not want it fully cooked

I have an advantage over others
People cringe when I show my carnivore tendencies
Fearing my gnashing happy teeth
Some scream and run off; I love that!

I keep a storehouse of foods ready to eat.
Beef, chicken, steak, sausage, and other meats.
They are my go-to choices.
But I would not kick a great baked potato off my menu.

What about desserts you ask?
Werewolf likes moon pies, but my vampire side needs something red.
Red Jell-o, strawberry shortcake, cherry cobbler.
It is fun being a combination glutton

Premium Member Just Stating the Obvious

when the night ends, morning Sun rises,
just as the day gives way back to night,
Obvious there are no surprises!

the river runs into the ocean,
flowing down many hills and bridges,
it is an obvious conclusion!

most birds lay eggs in their tree top nests,
they all must fly there to those branches,
that’s obvious, no reason to test!

baby is born of pregnant mother,
she carries him till month advances,
obvious! we know! don’t we brother?

if gold coin drops from Eiffel tower,
crazy if you think you can find it,
that’s obvious, no need to hover!

if your wife smiles bright when home you come,
you must be prepared for expenses,
obvious for most but not for some.

a sharp arrow shot up must come down,
if lands on someone’s head they are dead!
obvious you will be talk of town!

tummy rumbles when you overeat,
to cover it you drag chair twice,
obvious, remember to smile sweet!

Premium Member Will We Be Accountable

We are spiritual entities
Confined inside uncomfortable
Gassy, bloated, human bodies.
That reflect our habits.

We overeat.
We under-exercise.
We over drink.
We drive across the street, instead of walking.

Our humanness is reflected
In so many ways, throughout the day
Sometimes we forget we are spiritual
Beings trapped inside these not-so-great
Shells that we have not taken care of.

When we leave this earthly body
Behind us, we will see our true
Soul self, and it will be jumping
And laughing, and playing with
Glee, so glad to escape our mistakes.

Will we have to explain what we
Let happen to our human shells?
I certainly hope not.

Separation Issues

Loneliness is a frequent friend
when you are not around
I cannot sleep, I overeat
I feel run to the ground

It drains at my happiness
to be parted from you
some would call it separation issues
I can’t deny, that might be true

I often feel irrational
in our times of separation
my mind jumps to oblivion
an eternal pit of damnation

I wish I could prevent those feelings
I wish I could control my heart
to stop these useless tears from flowing
I need an emotional restart

I may have separation issues
and the loneliness always comes through
these may be separation issues
but I call it missing you

Dear Santa, I Want

Dear Santa, I want a guinea pig,
One that can handle his sup.
I'd like one that can overeat,
And doesn't sleep belly up.

And, Dear Santa, our toilet won't flush,
It's really quite a wonder,
So could you bring for my mom,
A brand new toilet plunger?

Premium Member Sea Otters

Did ya know sea otters hold hands when they sleep
So they won't drift apart, their wedding vows to keep
Now that's a stretch
Didn't know that I bet
This leaves me stunned and makes me overeat

Premium Member And the Drooling Commences

Hot apple pie is the ultimate treat
For sheer taste enjoyment, it can't be beat
Exciting the senses
The drooling commences
This mouth watering treat is ever so sweet

Now pile on some ice cream high up on top
Taste buds will tango and you'll tingle nonstop
A sensation so heavenly
You'll hear sweet melodies
A mouth watering treat so give it a shot

Don't worry bout the crowd you're bound to attract
The envy among them will fill a big sack
Just do it, don't waiver
Enjoy the sweet flavour
Shove it on down cause there's no turning back

Hot apple pie is the ultimate treat
A taste to amaze you, jump in with both feet
Enjoy the thrill
Till you're bloody well filled
A fantastic taste treat but don't overeat
