universe is what the universe is
from quarks to atoms, planets to galaxies
plus divers cosmic abnormalities
everything caught up in heavenly flow
of where non-stop change forces it to go
no guarantees a passing asteroid
will not explode our world into the void
no guarantee seeds will grow in the soil
no guarantee the great oceans won't boil
no guarantee we will have air to breathe
no guarantee we will have lives to lead
no guarantee we'll have time to reckon
all may end in interstellar second
A college degree is good to have
but it doesn't guarantee you anything
...except in some cases debt!
our love decrees sworn with guarantees,
you appease my nape as I tease-
we echo love in the breeze,
this Aries does appease-
your scent in the trees,
warmth in the freeze;
love with ease

Nothing is guaranteed so why should I guarantee anything
to be faithful in a relationship or a wedding ring
with the title comes more responsibility
and when the trust isn't there you start to search else where
because she's a liability. Times have changed
it used to be so simple, or maybe it was
because back in the day I was so simple
You + me = happily ever after
so why is everyone still worried about
getting caught up like the rapture
Nowadays almost everybody is on the fence
and chicks is trickin if it don't make dollars it don't make sense
Sex sells, where's the love, we locked that up in a cell,
I guess it's better to jail your emotions
than keep em out in the open. Nothing is guaranteed
so why should I make promises like
"do you so and so vow to love cherish and honor"
That's so cliche, yeah nowadays
I'm in my feelings right now
dealing with the what ifs so nevermind me.
Joy . . .
Love guarantees cheerful greetings to the truth but will not welcome evil tidings.
Peace . . .
Love guarantees that no account of wrongs will be kept, and it will not be
suspicious.
Patience . . .
Love guarantees perseverance without complaint because love abides through
all things.
Gentleness . . .
Love guarantees a readiness to help and will quietly cover all things from harm.
Goodness . . .
Love guarantees not to be covetous, and it will not seek its own conceits.
Faith . . .
Love guarantees commitment and expectancy, because love will never fall away.
Meekness . . .
Love guarantees not to be pompous, and it will not push itself forward.
Temperance . . .
Love guarantees to do what is proper and fitting and will not be exasperated.
Love guarantees no limit to any of these
because against such there is no law.
