Friday Night Song

Hard work…boss a jerk,
took credit…for your work.
best friend…blew you off,
still has…your favorite top,
Traffic…had you late
for your…diner date,
the stress…has you mean,
get to…blow of steam.

Girl put on your best,
I’m coming to get you,
better than the rest,
Friday night, I‘d never forget you.

Friends with…benefits,
but we’re…more than this,
I hate…when you’re down,
a break…you’re allowed.
We’ll dance…to the dawn,
forget…the weekend long,
show you…I can stay,
and love…you this way.

Girl put on your best,
I’m coming to get you,
better than the rest,
Friday night, I‘d never forget you.

Said you couldn’t see yourself
with a guy like me,
but you keep on coming back
when life gets trying.
I am not the doctor type, we fly,
can’t make you a rich wife,
but we both now I’m the one
who lets you enjoy life.

First drink…glowing eyes,
on the…floor we fly,
it works…like a charm,
you’ll sleep…in my arms.

Girl put on your best,
I’m coming to get you,
better than the rest,
Friday night, I‘d never forget you.

Chain Letters as Desire

Instant the command
As decisions
In labouring the fields
A civil war of family's avoiding
Yet the enactments mimic
As bond as surety
In financing burdens
One wishes not to carry
Carriage as stable
Nightingales lost fables
Ferry in twist
Smirking gentle and smits

To the good Friday of Ireland

Sunday

Mondays are always blue
Tuesdays proved to be so too
never can find a way
to make it safely through
Wednesdays they came and went
now all the money's spent
yet wouldn't you know
it never even made a dent
Thursdays became a bust
and Fridays I just can't trust
they always let me down
leave me in the dust
Saturdays are shadow play
what more can I say
the less said the better
best forgotten anyway
but Sunday I look forward to
it's my day of rest
my salvation too
the one I love the best
tho' twenty-four seven's
OK for some
I'll get by
with twenty-four one

A Light in My Darkest Night

My dear friend, who shines my way,
Lead my steps when I go misguided.

Your words like lanterns in my gloomy night,
Turning all my wrongs slowly into right.

In every second of gloomy night,
You bring the stars to make that things bright.

With kind words and gentle light,
You guide my heart to peaceful sight.

My dear best friend, so pure, so true,
A best friend like you is the greatest gift of all.

Premium Member I'm Not Afraid of Friday the Thirteenth

You can stare at me with your big golden eyes
or at least until you've come to finally realize
that I'm not afraid of any outrageous superstitions
and I don't need your cautionary admonitions.

I'm not scared of breaking mirrors or of a black cat.
It's foolishness I don't believe, and that's that!
When a calendar says it's the thirteenth of Friday,
I refuse to stay inside and hide my misgivings away.

I've walked beneath ladders and smiled doing it.
And it was just a freak accident when I broke foot
but I still don't think the writing was on the wall
when on such a said Friday, I took a serious fall.

The stigma about Friday the Thirteenth is too weird
so, there's nothing about that date that I've ever feared
but in case you ask why over my shoulder, I throw salt,
it's because if I have an accident, it won't be my fault.

Thank God, It's Friday

I'm on an island
marooned
a lonely castaway
beached at the waterline
launching bottles out to sea
abandoned
high and dry
my boat went down
it ran aground
but wait
what's that I see
can it be
a footprint in the sand
someone to lend a hand
my ship's come in
it's at the quay
no more sending signals
from the shore
the weekend's here
to rescue me

                                    What a marvelous feeling
                                    Turn on the dance switch
                                     - still a flower in the bud

                                  The spare battery is charged
                                          when Friday comes
                                         I guess you are able
to keep up with my pace

                                        Spinning and twirling
                                               Cut loose,
in boogie, shag or belly dance
                                     - the moon and the stars
                                           will shine all night
                                           - no time to sleep

    Miss Friday,
is desperate to avoid being forgotten
She is a caring and kindhearted woman
    If someone asks her age,
she will answer with a lie (of course)
It is not a crime to tell white lies
To turn one feather into five hens is to exaggerate
    - a trifle into a big deal
    Never pluck feathers

We all feel that the weekend is too short
    time flies as a arrow
She will enrich your day with humor
never doubt that it will please you
    There will be no performance
Dance your way, let worries fade away
Life will be boring without her ...
    admit it

the slate is cleared

                          Principles don’t discriminate against age,

FREE THE UNBORN FROM DEATH

End the death of the unborn, and protect them from receiving any harm.
Made by choice and killed by force.
We should all remember that we were once in that spot.
Love and kindness should be given to the unborn until they are born.
No harm or death should be given to someone who has never even been given the chance to live.
Stop teaching death to the unborn, declare them a gift from God.
Made in care with love and spirit, let them grow freely without any harm.

Premium Member What's Good About Good Friday

To mortal minds, there is no way
that what took place on that dark day
when someone good in every way,
was crucified by hands of clay
could be thought good in any way.

God’s works are good in every way
 was echoed each creation day.
Man formed from clay on the sixth day
was very good in every way
yes, this is what the Bible says.

Mankind became the Devil’s prey
when Adam sinned that fateful day
But when Christ died on that dark day
His life the price for sin did pay
For on Him, mankind's sins were laid.

Good Friday was a special day
God ransomed rebels gone astray.
He showed His love for men that day
In a strange, unexpected way
So, sinful man can to Him pray.

Make today your salvation day
when you with millions join and say,
‘Lord, take my life, hold o’er it sway,
lead me along the narrow way
that leads unto The Better Day.’
