Jumper Cables

Jumper Cables
Need a jolt
Be inspired
Dig deep
With no complaining
Past the test
Get ready for a new door
Journey endeavor
Stay focused
With high hopes
Dream big
Be open minded
Reach for your goals
Need more coffee on the go
Double shot of expresso
Be a game changer
Go beyond the naysayers
You owe it to yourself
Another uplifting letter
Stand on the promise
Move mountains
Need a break-through
Be a peace maker
Encourage others
Molded into the new you
Carry the weight of others
Better to give then to receive
Be the bigger person
Need jumper cables to get things done

Premium Member Americano

"Americano"

filter-dripped
watered down
weak coffee

artificial

the mood
steaming diluted
swings lower, unfilling;

the wanting
lusciously dark
hot to the tongue

more rapid
complex in richness
animated

scalding and sharp

Expresso
piercing arrow
shoots straight to the heart.

Candide Diderot. ‘25

Premium Member a terrific place to write

One caramel macchiato, a barista calls out
Two people rush to the counter
It has a name written on it,
One returns to her seat empty handed

I sit in the corner with my laptop, watching the show
Coffee shops are a terrific place to hide out and write
Cappuccino, mocha, latte, expresso, the barista calls
As people head to the counter my fingers begin to click

New Moons

Moon spills over like expresso coffee,
withheld in a pitch pitcherlike corset —

Where long her skin's lantern once mothered me,
over tonight are but marble shadows,

Craters' paled apparition in my sky —
those cold breasts now an invisible blur;

This adrenaline dark when light's in wane,
virgin drinks in her cup's phase finally;

Still through a kohl tongue she kisses my hate —
this moon reads newly with every pause.

Life To Thankful For

Life is short
To make you lonely
Cheer up, there's more
Reasons to make you happy
The birds chirping on the tree
The flowers bloom in the field
The early morning sun shines
The smile of a baby
The girls walking in mini skirt
The sweet aroma of expresso
The horning of the tahoo vendor
The warm embrace of your partner
The good thoughts that you have
The beautiful scenery outside the window
All the good things that life may bring
All are in one gaze, a beauty to behold
A celebration that worth to be thankful to God.

Dad's Day Delight

DAD'S DAY DELIGHT

Doting dads, divine and dearly,
Demonstrate devotion & dominion daily
Diligent, dynamic, day and night,
Directing dreams, with a loving light.4

Exceptional dads, esteemed & dear,
Elevate enthusiasm and banish fear.
Elegant, energetic and ever enduring,
Emboldening expresso, also empowering.8

Faithful fathers are full of flair,
Foster futures, with a gentle care.
Fearless, firm, and forever true,
Forging families, with a loving clue.¹²

Great guards, guardians so grand,
Guide growth, with a gentle hand.
Genuine, generous, and grandeur,
Giving gifts, that forever stand tall.¹6

Happy Father's Day to my honourables
Heaven honours all of these heroes.¹8

Premium Member What A Difference A Day Makes

What a difference a day makes
It's always special
Spending time with you
You makes it that way
Together playing
Or when we snuggle

What a difference a day makes
Spending time with you
You do make a differences
Not just in a day
Spending time with you

When you awaken
Me different hours
I just return to sleep
Till six o'clock
Feeding you breakfast
filling your bowl with
dry food
Covering you warm

Then I grind my coffee
beans
For a fresh cup of coffee
Expresso coffee
To waken me
Then have my breakfast
To begin my day

Premium Member Greeting of Positano

fresh flowers greeted me when I visited Positano
also the smells of expresso brewing, it was morning
By midafternoon I smelled garlic and onions
I sat at a café where the chef’s assistant greeted me

She offered to pour me wine, red, white, whatever
Italian hospitality is alive and well in this place
We are featuring sausage pizzelle, she told me, it is delicious
Do I smell fresh bread? I asked her. I surely did.

It rained a bit later, and I recognized the smell of leather.
I had not smelled that since my childhood.
Italy will always awaken in me the memory of this day
And the welcoming fragrences of the boulevard.

Premium Member The Pretty Barista

Why are you always drinking that expensive coffee? Ann texted Jim.
Jim stared at his phone. A text comes across rudely sometimes.
The pretty barista behind the coffee bar asked “Foam? Froth? Steam?”
Steam he thought, and his face turned pink at his boldness.

He hoped she would give him a little heart like the last time.
His heart jumped at her pretty blue eyes. “Pardon me?”
“I didn’t say anything,” she said. She wore a sweet smile.
He took his expresso to a booth where he could watch her ponytail.

Art and Prosecco

Nude draped across *Chaise Longue like a pharaoh,
Stained with cheap coffee from the expresso,
Take-outs growing mould beside my cello,
It reads ‘Buyer’s Dream’ on the sale memo,
Landlord shrieks for rent in high *falsetto,
“Maybe next week”, I sing back in *mezzo,
I pour a long-cracked mug of prosecco,
Next doors jazz flows, Nina Simone’s echo,
That paints the canvas bright gold and yellow.

* Chaise Longue – A long chair
* Falsetto – high-range singing voice
* Mezzo – ‘middle” in Italian (middle range for female singers)

Premium Member Fresh Ground Coffee

Awake from slumber
I grind coffee beans
Expresso coffee
The flavour enjoyed
A strong coffee taste
I make six cups
I make this often

When very tired
Expresso coffee
Is a strong coffee
Needed to wake up
From lack of sleeping
I brew it often

Premium Member Did You Ever

Take bread out for the toaster
Only to return it to the bag
Looking for a lost item
To find it under your nose
Put on shoes in a hurry
Notice one shoe different
Things happen from lack
of sleep

That when things go wrong
When awaking up early
We need our strong cup
of strong expresso
In order to begin our day
One or two cups will do
To begin our early day
To do things we do that
won't go wrong

Premium Member Surprise Birthday Trip Destination

Sarah, for your birthday, I do not want to ruin the surprise,
So put on your mask, and here is a blinder to cover your eyes.
I will give you hints as we get on our private fumigated plane.
Of course your mother is waiting, and she will do the same.

We will have a menu that has Belgium chocolates I can't hide.
They will be scrumptiously delicious, and taste juicy inside.
You may order hot chocolate with a shot of caramel and Nutella.
There will be some pretty hot guys, and maybe a particular fella.

Please do not guess yet, watch your feet as I guide you up the steps.
There are protein shakes, brownies, flavored lattes, sprinkled flecks.
An extra shot of expresso? I do not see why not, Sarah Dear.
Yes the destination café might be coming abundantly clear.

Sit beside your mother and do not guess out loud.
She has told me all about you; she is insanely proud.
No doubt there will be scones, muffins, and a sandwich of the day.
Come on pilot, get the engine started. We are ready to play!

Relacionamento Forte

Relacionamento forte

Hoje e sempre
manter um relacionamento forte,
exige fazer serenata com ações
e escrever poesia no coração das pessoas.

Hoje e sempre
manter um relacionamento forte,
é amor expresso com mais do que palavras;
é amor vivido como um verbo.

Os relacionamentos são nutridos e moldados
pelo compromisso que expressamos
por meio de ações.

Não basta falar;
AJA!

Mantenha seu relacionamento forte
hoje e sempre.
