A DANCE LIKE DAVID/2 Samuel 6:14-16

Dance dance david dance dance dance dance
A DANCE LIKE DAVID filled with joy,
Danced before the Ark
Of the Covenant as it was brought to Jerusalem.
David danced before the Lord
A dance like David did danced
O' how he danced
With all his might;
Was girded with a linen ephod
O' he did dance
A dance like David dance
Naked yet covered
A dance like David did danced
O' how he danced
Pure and sure worshipping
Brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting,
Praising God
And with the sound of the trumpet
And as the ark of saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord
And she despised him in her heart."
A dance like David did danced
O' how he danced

David is celebrating the return of the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem
David, overcome with joy, dances with all his might,
A display of uninhibited worship and celebration.
Halleluiah passages highlights
David's passionate and unrestrained devotion to God, even in a public setting

Happy True Year 2021

Away with the year that claimed scores
That compelled the world to stay indoors
A flu airborne in ravenous spread
Edging out for many their daily bread
A year that was strongly bequeathed and claimed
Three months lived and nine months maimed

But what is faith if not hope against the odds
The gleam in the dark that lights up the ephod
Assuring that God's Grace is sufficient
And warming our hearts to remain reverent
That we may not faint in the day of trouble
That we may live to see our recompense double

Do you still want to make those resolutions
That are still a decade old illusion
Go on for this is that season
I'll soon see you break out from them like prison
Only be transformed by the renewal of your minds
A certain time of year is hardly anything that binds

Blessed be your coming year
These be my wishes and not claims from a seer
Whatever a man sows, he shall reap
The year comes with no pledge or promise to keep
But God is the Sure Guide to they that seek Him
May this year see Him burst your brims

K. Muitherero.
