Sometimes it feels like people have forgotten
how to be kind to one another
The goal seems to be to get through life
at as fast a pace as possible and collect things
I do wish that more people would remember
that they are human and that humanity needs kindness
from others to thrive and succeed in life
Life is not a contest to see who can have the latest
and most expensive clothes, cars, or home
Life is a journey where those you travel with are
your encouragers and fellow humans who need to
see your light and joy in the form of being kind

Songs are made for singer; if God doesn't sing, songs may survive, not thrive

As candle to candlelight, we are light, not carrying vehicles

Waves have personality, but die & merge into ocean; Ocean enjoys being waves, too.
Dear PS readers and great communicators: I am not able to respond to each of U in a dialog I prefer; I traveled to town (Fort Beaufort, RSA) to use WiFi. It took at least three tries to post these Monoku & Thank YOU Note to my supporters & encouragers. ThanX, shalom shalom

Some tell me they are tired of Poetry Soup.
It's changed a lot, so, I get their distress!
Then, I am told they have no time for it.
Then why keep posting, if it is the pits?
I have my aggravations, too.
A few people keep me stuck here like glue!
They know who they are.
They are my encouragers, and never afar.
I truly am grateful for those frequent few.
They keep this poetess penning for all to view.

~Dedicated to my special encouragers~
PoetrySoup has illustrious wordsmiths,
Helpers, counselors, encouragers. Human muses.
I jumped on this site with eagerness, not daring to hope for
Even a partial bit of what I have received.
I took the leap of faith, joining right away,
Without any idea how these new friends would soothe my soul.
And squelch my fears, and my doubt that what I wrote was actually poetry.
If I die tomorrow, I go satisfied,
Fulfilled by friends I have only met on paper,
Best friends who send me SoupMall,
Friends who have
Embraced my soul, and lifted me with the purest love.
Thank you. Your energy is appreciated with awe.
Joyfully so, she seems to be my (our) biggest fan.
Absolutely wonderful, Jan's embodiments symbolize her awesome agenda.
Never does it fail, Jan shares free hugs—special gifts—maximum encouragers—orchestrated methodically scratching Souper's records, performing as our (my) poetic DJ.

Having a conversation with fellow Christian
one day speaking on how loved to write
poetry especially was friends favourite
having written many with literal bite
Asked if I had ever tried a piece
said in my mid 20s did use my pen
but was dark depressive and dull
threw them away unworthy to open
This friend encouraged me to try again
he suggested a gift maybe there inside
open and practise never know what you’ll find
maybe it’ll be special to all you’ll then confide
When he looked at my early writings
thought it had potential so I did persevere
so after all these years ago ten in all
it’s amazing looking back how it’s reached here
Now having met many more encouragers
on PS been exhorted to continue through
hopefully I’ve inspired others likewise
so together spread it that you can do it too
