Silver tongue money sign blow
bellow ballast
moral bankruptcy notes
Reprobate shekel vocal chords
toot the $eductive $ound of the crafty coin jingle —
Filthy lucre windpipes
utter-ly craving more and more
Tainted dross lips blare grifter bluesy groans,
lover of the honk heist Tap scale shrill moans
Pied piper pickpocket player (such a theft bar clone)
blow an Iscariot number
with a snatched purse pirate dirge Ag cornet tone
Argentum coffer con-duit
continuously ear play the bandito music,
that Gehazi leer song
Let the pilfering notes fill the covetous air
with a subtil silverware sound ...
Polluted decibel waves b crooked cavalier,
a-plundering thoughts abound —
Fork tongue reed bark paper lust promises;
empty air promissory echoes,
so wallet stolen wrong
I was seventeen, so were you.
With the innocence of a child,
tabhair me mo chroi duit.
(I gave my heart to you.)
Starved of love 'till you came along.
Your kiss so deep, intellect so strong.
You picked me out, held me close.
Told me you loved me.
Made me feel the most
loved and cherished until,
suddenly, out of the blue,
it was no longer us....just you.
On my eighteenth, like a red hot coal,
you dropped my hand, my heart, my soul.
Abandoned me to a loveless life,
protecting my heart from even more strife.
I did not realise then depression
would be your lifelong friend.
I forgive you now that time has passed
and wish you happiness that will last.
I thought it would be interesting to translate a poem into Gaeilge (Native Irish language)
for you! Here it is in English and Irish and if you want to hear me reading it in Irish

TRUST
In your world
I walk my heart and soul
On paving stones
I stroll as I grow old
My body
I will give to you
Forever until dust
And in your arms
I place my tender trust
My honour
And my worldly deeds
Are yours
Precious treasure
That your heart secures
In your world
Is where I want to lay
With you by me
And forever stay
IONTAOBHAS
I do domhan
Siúlóid mé mo chroí agus spiorad
Ar clocha pábhála
Spaisteoireacht mé mar a fhásann mé d'aois
Mo chorp
Beidh mé a thabhairt duit
Go dtí go Deo deannaigh
Agus i do armas
Ait mé mo mhuinín tairisceana
Mo onóir
Agus mo nGníomhas domhan
An bhfuil mise
óir lómhara
Go chroí do slán
I do domhan
An bhfuil áit ar mhaith liom a leagan
Le tú ag dom
Agus fan go deo
Phrase: I'd give you the blood of my heart
Irish: Thabharfainn fuil mo chroí duit
Pronunciation: hohr-hinn fwill muh khree gwitch
I’d give you the blood of my heart
Sacrificing all my very morrows
To know you are happy, content,
I’d accept all the days’ sorrows.
For t’is the smile you would give to me
That would forever flow in my veins
To see sunshine always on your face
My face would forever bear the rains.
I’d give you the blood of my heart
Forever knowing that you would be
Living proof of love given, true
A gift…only the lucky ones see.
For t’is the smiling eyes of your face
That would bring a smile there, to mine
To know that you’re not in darkness
Rather, there, in sunshine.
I’d make all the sacrifices, needed,
Knowing, that I would then part.
In order to leave as a happy man
I’d give you the blood of my heart
