Premium Member Sense Of Taste

An explosion of flavour
Setting the taste buds alight
A tsunami of saliva
Dampening heat in the cave.
Like the sand beds of the sea,
Deeper elements spring forth
Revealing ingredients
Enriching the savoury dish.

A Mid-Summer Cosmic Awareness Cry

The blue sky’s white clouds, once happy, became weary;
Tears flowed slowly down until a blinking loud outburst occurred:-

Following this occurrence, cloud teardrops began to fall faster;
And later, it was like those clouds’ eyes became turned facets:-

After a while, these flowing tears gradually came to a dampening halt;
Light blue sky, white clouds, and a brighter sun, all made their return:-

Wow! On this beautiful summer day, nature canvassed a streaming
Equally as beautiful as were the past days of the revered spring rains.

Such amazing awareness it is, how nature canvases the oneness
Of summer and spring’s allegorical messaging of resurrection.

Premium Member message for today’s youth

build up of angst in today’s youth
the cause perhaps a suppressed fear
a lifestyle deemed by soul uncouth
dampening vibe of their heart’s cheer

the cure lies in life’s simple things
no striving for one-upmanship
growing in love, spreading soul’s wings
light within worthy of worship

we are God’s love, we are His light
let us gentle thought, word and deed
slow down and discern wrong from right
soft voice of conscience always heed

life is a dream; recognise this ~
our true Self is love, light and bliss

words of strings

damper sound without a box

fuse less high key string fret and the low beckoning

saint the same slide you grew out from

drink news and through lava liqour drips off

damper stage and dampening cat cry

you got news and sew my drums lose

i know its been done

speak frothing failure against

Premium Member Tide

Up the shore the rhythmic tide strides.
Twice a day, the army marches in succumbing.
Then retreats, tail between its legs, discharging
Its grip and flooding embrace, releasing, disengaging,
It's ebb and flow, a never-ending sleep-breath sigh.
The tide's hidden master and conductor is the moon.
A general seldom seen leading the troops on the battlefield
Rending the tide as irresponsible, willful and unaccountable.
A creature wail-fully uncaring, inconsiderate, wayward in consequence.
In the woe betide comes, seeping into the castle moats and holes dug by kids
Flushing away the fun of seashore frolics,
dampening the joy and the shrill of beach laughter
reminding us that there has to be a morning after,
After the coming,
someone, not me
has to
clean up
the
mess
and ebb
to bed.

Premium Member Zen Mode

involuntary volition
yet signals bondage
so we remind ourselves
of our piquant dilemma
moment to moment
thereby dampening
attention oscillation
until boundaries blur
head and heart concur
and identity disappears

all then that remains
Is awareness self-aware

Premium Member Magical Mud

First, build a big castle,
sculpting turrets like pros.
Mounding, turning, and working that dirt
with hands deft and facile,
dampening with the hose,
squished through fingers, a warm oozing squirt.

Together, thus, they played,
delighting, questing went
to faraway lands, magical mud,
imagining they payed
with rocks for gold they spent,
buying and selling fresh dragon’s blood.

Premium Member Laurels of a Certain Win

To expect sure defeat insures a ravaged heart
Returns without the laurels of a certain win
Dampening one's ardor from a challenging start,
Perhaps, it was better this race not to begin.

Enter each endeavor with the will to finish
First among many equals, better than them all,
Never for a moment let your strength diminish
Before a beginning whistle stand straight and tall.

Never let a weakness your competition see
It builds barriers you find difficult to check,
Consider subtle doubt your fiercest enemy
Picture the winning gold medals around your neck.

Engage confidence, never let it run amuck
For winning a race is always far more than luck.

Shhhh

Shhhh...
Keep it to yourself.
Soon you'll receive all your help.

Bumbling chit-chat has a way of dampening things.
And it only placates the fire that makes the heart sing.

So get quiet and step to the side.
Over there is where clarity resides.

Then, when God tells you to speak,' you better speak.
Come out of hermit mode, stand up, and teach.

When God tells you to walk, you better walk.
Whether it's towards or away, don't hesitate or balk.

So in the meantime,
Shhhh...
Keep it to yourself.
Soon you'll receive all of your help.

Proverbs 29:11

Seasons and Pleasures

Winter’s strokes,

Not a pleasure for all folks,
The sun's blanket,
Unfit and frail,
The sun's sheets,
Threadbare and worn,
The days are sombre,
Gloom permeates the space,
The morning colour
Unfriendly and dampening,
Outdoor fun is on hold,
The curtains are drawn on it,
We long for sunshine days,
To watch our children play in the meadows,
To relish the beauty of our gardens,
To smile as we see the
 flowers bud and shine,
We keep hope alive,
Nature sits on time and seasons.
They chauffeur her.

Inhale

Inhale

my heartbeat slows,
blood sluggish
through stenotic vessels
unwilling to expand,
to breathe
to let blood flow

untenable, this suffocation
this dampening
it speaks of tired eyes,
of stolid limbs,
of stultified need

torpid blood,
when will you give up
your self-imposed stricture,
your closely guarded fear,
your wariness

and inhale

Premium Member It Was a Good Morning Until

Sound sleep, cozy bed, slow stretch, feeling great
Perfect weather, gentle breeze, soft sunlight
Table laid, with tasty food on my plate
The morning so far, infusing delight

At the traffic light, knock on my window
A passerby gestured to my car wheel
I got down seeing, much to my sorrow
Flat tyre, dampening my joyful feel

Fifteen minutes later, with a stiff back
Spare wheel in place but my briefcase stolen
A hapless victim of a theft attack
As reflex response, my heart spewed poison

Premium Member Waiting For the Queen

Her calm fettered visage reveals nothing
She is as stoic as any sentry
I imagine she is secretly hypervigilant
However, she is unyielding

A plethora of pernicious bats
Might have trouble dampening this queen.
She probably enjoyed stinging the others to death
I watch her traverse the honey comb highway

In an ethereal, astral state, I watch her movements.
She is larger than I thought which increases my fear
Each heart felt buzz a bit louder as she closes in.
I am the last potential queen to be eliminated.

Premium Member Night and Day Vision

The path of my vision
A fading light
Turning the road upside down
With strewn glass and a round piece
Glittering in the sky a crown.

The Darkness now engulfing me
Sounds of the night awaken
The chill surfacing from deep within
Fear dampening my spirit, now shaken
Adjusting to the light to see.

Hope rays awaken a new day
When the night skies pack her toys
To turn the black box upside down again
The darkness once again, a decoy
In a land of fairytales and lullabies.
