Quailimore Drive

The strangiest livestreet of all the days,
No place so perfectly townsplit,
Half of this street is in Fillblubber,
And the other half is in Cawbit.

The Nensorays on the Fillblubber side,
Never utter or cry or caportle.
The house as soundpinched as olimats,
No one knows why they are so fortle.

The Packershaws on the Cawbit side,
Own a dwelling that is so farumtious.
They pride themselves in gorgons of riches,
Unaware they are oh so varaitious.

The Xebaisys on the Fillblubber side,
Have a flogarden the morost serene.
It’as only eshalias and gymions,
Any else is a destorphious weed.

Lastly, the Larpins on the Cawbit side,
Never passtimers in their humblethy home,
Always wogging or waving or whisinging,
With no newsilly noise becom’ere own

A few other neighdwells are on the street,
But they are soridon and mundane.
Maybe they’et a corbin of chance,
When they feel somelse than kiffer pain

A place where love carfuffles and kings,
Where skipperly children run and play.
Nowhere is so Bretumptian awill remain,
The strangiest livestreet of all the days.

Lost For the Moment

Where are you?
Where did you go?
How can I make you return?

Are you with someone new?
Of me does she know?
Or how for you I yearn?

What should I do?
What is left to grow?
Why is it no longer my turn?

Has she asked who?
Does she speak slow?
Can she not learn?

Because we are stuck like glue
We share one shadow
And your love will someday return.

A World of My Own

Could it be?
Can it be so?
A place for me?
Does anyone know?
Where can I see?
Which way do I go?

I could land upside down
After falling through a rabbit's hole
Zero smiles turn to frowns
Everyone in their own control
Odd makes the most wonderful sounds
Causing greater difference to be their goal.

Are there things of all shapes and sizes?
Like people, animals, food that makes you taller?
Talking flowers and caterpillars in disguises?
Mushrooms, bread, cookies that make you smaller?
Mad hatters with foolish surprises?
Angry queens who never falter?

I would explore for all days to come
I'd make friends near and far
Weird songs with unusual hum
Day is night and the sun shines as one big star
Always happy, never glum
All surroundings quaintly bizarre.

Understood Silence

When you try and speak there are things you cannot say
It is as if the strongest winds carry your words away

Yet still, your eyes captivate inside of mine
Even without words, I can read the unspoken sign

Your silent thoughts flow through my intellect inevitably
And your hushed phrases are still spoken quite eloquently

For days it seems, we've stood face to face
Breathing the same air, taking up the same space

But every time I reach out to touch that face, you try to disappear
Pulling back with every inch as you begin to hide in fear

These minutes have grown slower and at a drastic rate
It is starting to seem as if your mind is beginning to dissipate

It's harmless for you to converse with me, through grand and grave
Take those first steps and initiate with me, be brave

Just hold on to my hands and you will feel it, too
I will show you how to be colorful, instead of black and blue.

Only You

I will be there for you any time you need
I cannot say whether you'll do the same
Whenever your heart may bleed
I'll be whispering your alluring name
Even if you refuse to accede
I will be there for you with no shame

I will take your hands when you appear lost
With no promises you will hold onto mine
No matter how it will completely exhaust
Our souls together, which they align
Never leaving, no matter the cost
For our existence as one is simply benign.

I will grasp your frame when you begin to cry
Despite your petulance, my lips will smile
They will kiss your face until those tears dry
I will run that extra mile
No matter how resistant you are or how you defy
Being near you makes all sorrow worth while

And no matter what people say
I adore you
And love you in every possible way
With my heart of gold I will erase the blue
I will turn your storm into a snug and sunny day
Although construe, all of my words are endlessly true.

When I Sleep

Of all things, it is happiness and fear
Both of these are strongly sincere
Either a laugh or cold tears shed
That's when the pain develops in my head.

I think of you and your handsome smell
Lucky for me, I remember it well
I grasp my pillow ever so tightly
And begin to fall asleep ever so slightly.

I begin to dream of your powerful touch
I can only hope you think of me a fraction as much
But then I wake and realize you were never real
And then I think, am I faking what I feel?

Are you turning into a figment of my imagination
With multiples or just a single collaboration
The memories, they are beginning to fade
Your entire self, so quickly decayed.

Those heart wrenching songs start to play in my mind
Always making me want to rewind
To where I laugh instead of weep
Where I dream of you in my sleep.

Gone

Away from here
That is where I want to go
I want to be able to breathe.
Nowhere near
Just keep digging really low
I want to be underneath.
Somewhere bold with something bright
That is where I want to be
I want to dance among every star.
Some place old that's black and white
Come closer and you could see
I want to run really far.
Inside my home
That is where I want to leave
And you can show me the way.
Outside of these walls
And into the trees
Sometimes that is just the way it stays.

No More Tears

When it begins to storm outside
When all are gone upon you relied
When you feel utterly defied
And when all of your tears have been cried

Just look to your left and there I'll stand
No matter how hard the rain pours
I'll still be holding your hand
And together, we'll break down all closed doors.

The rain can only make the ground wetter
I cannot change that, but what I'll try
Is to make your existence a great deal better
And I'll provide you the shelter to keep you dry.

I will stay true with no questions asked
Confide in me any time you request
My words will never be masked
And all of my sins will be confessed

That's how you'll know the sun will always shine bright
Even when your nightmares permit fright
I'll still be holding you immensely tight
And be all of your happiness with pure delight.

Just Try

I cannot find the words and I cannot find the tune
Everything inside my mind is blank
Up flying high is a lost balloon
About to pop with me to thank.

Thinking hasn't been doing me well
Procrastination is the only thing
My head is locked into a spell
I can't even hear the birds sing.

The days go quicker each and every minute
There never seems to be any time left
Whatever it is, I never seem to win it
In which my spirits become cleft.

It's the hope we have, that our time will come soon
It's important to aim for the stars, yet to achieve the moon.

Ask Yourself

Everyone has a story to tell
Whether it come from heaven or deep down in hell
They aren't always spoken of, you see
That's when to ask yourself, what would you believe?

Is there a fate or do we make our own
Or do Lord and devil truly condone
To what we hear and what we feel
Is all of it really real?

Good triumphs and wicked deceits
It's as if history actually repeats
Are there angels, and those who chose to fall
Or are you asking yourself, do you believe at all?

Now we sit and ponder about heaven and hell
Yet still, don't you have your own story to tell?

Downs and Ups

There are times when waking up is hard
Easier when you are near yet difficult if far
That's when I stay down like a fallen card
As though I am as stuck as a star.

Do you watch the moon while I see it shine?
Are there lights or is it darker
I have chills running through my spine
And you're straightening it with a thick marker.

Strange as can be that falling asleep is worst
Always staying awake until I see the sun has risen
My sleep patterns are reversed
My soul is in prison

Even when I try nothing seems to work
All I ever do is lay awake
While our memories lurk
In my dreams with multiple retakes.

Flowers bloom but always die
Beautiful until they fall to the ground
Their petals disintegrate as they lie
And they do it without making any sound

I just want to be loved for who I am
All of the negative simply makes me ill
Through every tear, I still swam
Because I still have plenty in life to fulfill.

Could Be So Hard

The moon and the stars were shining bright, but all I could see were your beautiful eyes sparkling in their light. I'm feeling things I've never known before. Who I should be afraid of the most, I completely adore. And this feeling is so hazy, it is beginning to drive me crazy, the way I love your smile and the sound of your laugh, the way you whisper my name in the dark. Who would've, who could've known, that loving someone like you could be so hard. A day without you is like a year without rain. Sitting here, waiting to only find pain. Don't I ever cross your mind? Maybe you've just been blind, by the fact that you amaze me in every way you never thought you could but now, I find that this feeling is so hazy, it's driving you crazy, the way you love my smile and the sound of my laugh, the way I whisper your name in the dark. Who would've, who could've known, that loving someone like me could be so hard.

Bittersweet Bliss

It's strange how ten years doesn't seem so long ago, when I saw you running past that shady oak. At first I thought, you can't believe every boy you see might be the one, when a quarter of your life isn't even done.

But I still remember when we were face to face, standing under God's good grace. We were so young, and I used to be fun. You loved me and you didn't even know it yet.

Now ten years later here I am, trying to put back together what we had again. I die more every day not knowing how much more I can take of this. It's killing me, this bittersweet bliss.

Four years feels like yesterday, when you broke my heart since you went away. I pushed you too far and so slow, I guess I never believed that you would really go.

I can see myself in twenty years, still trying to fight back these tears. I know I must sound so crazy, but honestly your love did a lot more than phase me. I guess now I will have to live with all of this, it's still killing me, this bittersweet bliss.

Ten Little Golden Girls

Ten little golden girls swung from a vine
One branch broke, and then there were nine.

Nine little golden girls went to skate
One fell through a crack, and then there were eight.

Eight little golden girls dined on some chevon
One's dish was raw, and then there were seven.

Seven little golden girls stacked some old bricks
One was hit in the head, and then there were six.

Six little golden girls decided to take a drive
One struck a tree, and then there were five.

Five little golden girls went out to shore
One took a nosedive, and then there were four.

Four little golden girls went out for tea
One was poisoned, and then there were three.

Three little golden girls sailed in a canoe
Then came an abrupt wind; one could not swim, and then there were two.

Two little golden girls went out shopping for some fun
The little girl got stuck in a store, and then there was one.

One little golden girl stumbled upon a gun
She fortuitously pulled the trigger, and then there were none.
