A scarlet sun sears the western sky
with vermilion tongues of flaming fire.
And sinking below the planet’s rim,
Sol ignites the far fringes of Earth.

Heaven burns amidst the crimson flames
scorching the edge of the horizon.
And like a child playing with crayons,
light scribbles cerise onto the night.

Shadows meld with cobalt silhouettes,
beneath a vista of ebony.
And a silver moon gets snagged in
branches of a gnarly old oak tree.

Magic supersedes reality
in my imagination's playground.
And as Nature hypnotizes me,
time seems to pause, for a split second./center>

Split Second Glance

I smile at you when you aren’t looking.

The set of your mouth, as it furrows irresistibly

Commandeering your face into the desired degree

Of aloof concentration. Chin in hands, you rove about

A world I catch only in glimpses,

As it scintillates through the reflection in your incessant clarity.

I can see the glaze slipping as you fight your way

Through the glossy clouds that feather in overlapping layers

On your perception –I can see the radiance begin to focus

From the lucid orbs that center your face -unclenching as it emerges

Reluctantly from where it had seeped its inspiration –penetrated

To the profundity of your being.

I strain to catch that first flicker of warmth –the spellbound rebirth

Of the halcyon element I scorch myself with

Beyond the beyond the beyond –

But never scar.

It’s rending the fetters that closed behind it,

I can feel the crisp distance congeal

As it prepares to receive a dawn –

My face blazes with a sudden knowledge:

For one frozen moment, sluggish rays already frothing

Just beneath the surface, my breath petrifies as I

Inhale a fear that I will desecrate this magic –

That your perfection –exquisite to the point of pain –

Will dissipate –marred by an irreverent worth.

An emblem of stillness, I rasp over edges of milliseconds

-the tingling plunge that precedes all fall or flight-

Your eyelids lift, echoes of recognition bouncing

As I leadenly raise answering gaze to hem in selfish supplication.

Locked, your icy awe exults without breaking –

You answer my smile, as I gasp through gritted teeth.

We laugh about anything and nothing, I catch hold of my shreds again.

-inconsequential exhilaration-

Life Changes In a Split Second

Junk food was my middle name.
I took comfort in the taste.
I'd exercise until collapse,
To tame the inches, added to my waist.

I drank to put my mind at ease.
I didn't have to think,
I didn't have to understand,
I'd just get lost in my drink.

I was becoming an alcoholic
I knew, but didn't stop.
Until that test came back positive.
And I quit everything, on the spot.

Fruits and veggies, at every meal,
Naps, through out the day
I don't worry about my extra chunk
It wouldn't do me any good anyway.

In a split second, life can be snuffed
Unforeseen events cause misery
Why this is so, ‘tis a great mystery
Of such our lives are suitably stuffed
None of us should ever be bluffed
Accidents are main features of history.
In a split second,
The role of accidents is often sloughed
We are victims of information trickery,
Believing what we hear becomes primary
Facetiously, going through life chuffed,
In a split second.

Split Second

Heavy waves speeding.
Rushing to shore, they are one.
Forced back; the sea robs.

A Split Second

a split second
under the blanket
of wet cotton balls
flutter wings
dipped in apricot jam
topped with
eyes
of maple leaves clinging to glass in rain
lips
stained by raspberry blood near tree trunks
cheeks
the inside of a bear cub’s paw
nose
the white kitten behind mature dandelions
neck
wrapped in sea foam
leaving trails of turquoise stones

Split Second Timing

Blue hue, violet rays
took my breath away.
Yellow mellow days
swallowed me whole.
Red shining danger signs
caught my guard down.
Black jack, apple mac,
oh! for the age of technology !

For Just a Split Second--- Then Poof Gone

Here as time
as we know it
everything is
going so fast
one moment... here
then next...
poof.... tis gone
Nothing lasts..
Except for Eternal Life
With Our Savior Jesus Christ

I must say...
As I had seen
Your sweetness coms...
Heart shining with Love
Beholding charm..
Sweet as Sunshine
To my heart from yours
As mine expresses tis same...

then as I had another write
went to post.. it tonight
but then poof... it was gone..
my write of "My cup runneth over"
the one your sweetness
 commented Tender heartedly
upon my heart...
Sweet treasures
now tis... within my mind
of What you said...
to my heart...me...
for that split-second of time...

For just a Split second...
Tis all it takes...
Moments are gone..
For some shall be
their fatal mistake..

For Now tis time
Please those who not know
Jesus Christ
Time is now
To ask Him into your heart
Into your lives

Come please those who not know
Please come to Jesus for He
It The Way... The Truth.. The Life
The Only way to go..
Jesus is the Giver of Life
Come be Born-again...
Before this split second of time
            is

                Poof...
                         Gone...

Where are going to be for Eternity???
When your Time runs out here on Earth

He saw
A fleeting flicker
Of her smile
At twilight time,
Beaming down
With such warmth on his face,
So illuminating the smile!
Then he blinked
And didn't see her vanish
On the silvery full moon
Wait, was that
Indeed her face?
Or was it just his imagination?
Is it because
He's missed her
For so long?

Split Second

Breathing becomes harder.
Rope gets tighter.
A sudden sound.
Feet hung close to the ground.

A life taken.
So suddenly too quick.
For the years they struggled.
The only thing they feel now is peace.
Wrapped in the arms of him.
But heartache was left in their place.
They live in total bliss for eternity.
While we live in pain on earth.

Split Second

Gone and over and done; now you see it, now you don't;
Some total eclipse of the sun; shine it will, shine it won't.

All in the blink of an eye; here today, gone tomorrow;
Love that existed to die; happy smiles, tears of sorrow.

A split second kick in the head; maybe it will, maybe it wouldn't;
A cross-fade of rapture and dread; maybe it could, maybe it couldn't.

A rift in the fabric of space; open, closed and cyclone weathered;
Leaving no semblance or trace...all the days hang tarred and feathered.

Split Second Memories Are Unforgettable

That "first glance" is which I will never forget in my life.
It was the first meet whence those attracting
attaching amusing eyes locked mine.
Stealthily hypnotized and made me fall
captivated to his smiling striking swallowing eyes,
stole my heart generously and shielded me inside.
Gradually progressing & processing with
distinguished peachy romanticism:
sighting,nurturing,nourishing,
provisioning,kissing,hugging,
punching,tweaking,fighting,
patting with lightings...love endures enormously.
Our Undying divine love overflows boundlessly
demanding immeasurable unite.

Split Second Bliss

A fleeting vibe
Just passing through
Split second bliss
I bump in to

Disrupts the sad
Dissolves the plain
I’m feeling glad
I can’t explain

It’s bitter sweet
A short lived joy
Deceitful treat
A glee decoy

Not too much
It’s just enough
It gets me by
When times are tough

A train door closes packed with passengers.

Destinations being most different than others.

Typical light touches, embarrassing rubbing,
Lastly, the ever so bothersome nudging.

Unfinished conversations, from platform
Carries on within the overcrowded train.

Yapping and gabbing, defined as gossiping,
Amidst disgruntled passengers within-earshot.

Young teen of a nimble mind, lights a cigarette,
To a host of an onslaught accord that repeats,
All trains are non-smoking so put it out you creep!

An infant goes from a whispering innocent alto coo,
To an uncontrollable, unstoppable, sopranos' scream,
Unheedful to weariful pleads of failing-to-comfort bass.

A newspaper that was fully read, is now being
Reread from its beginning, cites boredom
From too long of a wait, passing time fruitlessly.

An out-of-town couple, ask an old guy to take
Their picture, but to everybody's surprise, he
Took the camera and slammed it to the train
Floor, whereto, it broke into unrepairable pieces,
"Hi-ya!" was heard, a karate chop is all was needed,
So down for the count, the old pus was out,
Camera pieces and out-of-town couple all gone,
And gossips continue on, that now includes
The old pus and out-of-town couple.

The engine is heard and a forward thrust is felt,
At last, they are about to go on...until suddenly...
They jerk to a stop...then a voice is intensely heard,
..."We at Metro apologize for this undue delay,
For this train is now inoperable, so please disembark
And take all you have with you, as this train will
Now head to the shop from this station.

Bear in mind that another train has been dispatched,
Whereto, it will take you to your final destinations."

"We at Metro, would like you all to have a pleasant day!"

This all took for a moment of time, to record in the annals
Of the written memory that is historically held in the
Everlasting void belonging to the sanctity of a mere...

It instantly changed
the hue of the sky;
Beat red afternoon,
I was spellbound by
garnet colored Sun;

A maroon mist
hung in the air
creating smoke
swirling so dense

bathing you
in ruddy
fantasy;

A split
second
