My dearly beloved Sister in the Lord,
You surely are a great blessing to me and to others...
May this poem of tribute to and for you reverberate beyond our memories
Vanquishing oblivion that lurks to prevail.

Blessed by God with eternal life’s certainty
Redeemed, enjoying the Saviour’s assured security
Imparted with divine nature toward great spirituality
Guided thru the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and authority
Instructed to live by faith, trusting Christ’s immutability
Driven forward to pursue the Lord’s will with sincerity:
A victor in the Master’s ministry; we salute you for your godly integrity!

Moved by God’s love in serving with grace
Empowered with His strength to win in the Christian race
Nourished fully with His Word along prayer-brace
Directed for stewardship’s faithfulness all her days
Optimizing the Almighty’s offered opportunities of no delays
Zoomed toward heavenly goals midst hindrances’ trace…
A servant* of God in His church; we thank the Lord for you and Him we praise!

This is a Birthday poem for this Sister's 59th birthday on November 13, 2018, with these notes: "Ma’am Edgie, A blessed birthday to you.
Your life, spent for the Lord, is really a great blessing!"

I posted this on November 26, 2018 (Monday here in the Philippines).
It was November 28, 2018 Poetry Soup's Poem of the Day.
I was elated to learn about it...

Then, after I had my class in the Bible College, I was informed that Ma'am Edgie was called by God to be with Him in heaven on November 28, 2018, at 11:30 A.M. (Philippine time). I bowed to God for His wisdom. Indeed, He makes no mistake. As for this beloved Sister, she will be missed... for her love to the Lord, to His work, and to the brethren.

*1Corinthians 7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

Premium Member The Beauty of Lucifer

until an hour before the devil fell,
God thought him beautiful in heaven . . .
                              (Arthur Miller)

God created his angels long before
the temptation of Adam and Eve,
and the angel Lucifer was the most beautiful
he moved freely between roaming earth
and back to heaven and to the throne of God

Lucifer fell from heaven because of his pride
    conceit in his own beauty
      his wisdom
         his intelligence
            his power

he desired to be GOD and not a servant of God
he was exceedingly beautiful and he used that beauty for evil
God made him the highest of all angels
a heaven where all the angels were beautiful but Lucifer
was God's most lovely creation

Lucifer wanted the throne of God
wanted to take over heaven
cast out God
in any way he could divise

but an hour before the temptation in the garden
God cast the beautiful angel, Lucifer out of heaven
he did not fall
he was pushed out

Lucifer came down and down
created an anti-God city where he was the ruler
he created hell
and became the Satan that we know of today
and temptation became his sword of power
he can appear to you in many forms
from beautiful or evil
     a monster with horns
        or even a hissing snake

Satan moves freely between roaming earth
and back to his dark city . . .
his only purpose to fill his city of Hell

Enlightened by God’s truth, abide in His will
While His entrusted tasks you fulfill
Labour for Him, trekking stewardship hill…
Press on, God’s servant*; in His peace, keep still.

Enabled thru Christ’s strength, work for His glory
While claiming His assured victory
Love Him, reaching out to others thru Gospel…
Press on, God’s servant; vanquish guilt’s injury.

Enriched with the Lord’s grace, share your blessings
While giving your best toward fruitfulness’ enforcings
Lead others to spiritual life's abundance against selfishness…
Press on, God’s servant; conquer slothfulness’ cursings.

*Matthew 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

     We think we are
     what we do?
     How grossly untrue!
We strive to be the top
     dog?
     I call that, egotistical,
     “brain fog.”
     Be a brother or sister
     to another.
They do not need a boss
     nor a mother.
     Keep your credentials to
     yourself.
     Arrogance belongs on
     a shelf.
     Be a true friend, share,
     fully what you can.
A servant of God, in the
     family of man!
     Seek out the meek and
     the humble.
     The popularity game~
     a huge ego rumble.

One Body In Christ

thank God for all He has done and let there be no division to find
we are all part of one body and as Christians of one mind
the wisdom of God is all knowing and not to be questioned
don't be like the Pharisees looking for signs of imperfection
for God will use the weakest things to make fools of the wise and the strong
and He will choose lowly things to show the boastful where they belong

the message of wisdom is for the mature in faith and not based on one's age
and It will be revealed through the spirit in you by The Holy Sage
so regard yourself as a servant of God entrusted with sacred words
judge not others on the evidence of something someone else might have heard
for you are a receptacle that God Himself will use
just don't go beyond what is written and be careful of the words you choose
be most aware of the company you keep, be surrounded by others with the spirit
watch out for the pagans of this world, pray that someday they will get It
to practice sacrifices to false gods and participate in sexual immorality
will lead you down the road to hell and not up towards divinity

just run your race with a godly pace and eventually you'll come to realize
that others run for no reason at all never to receive God's eternal prize
everything isn't permissible and not everything is good
everything isn't acceptable and not everything seems as it should
seek the good news and not only just for yourself
include your fellow man and spread the wealth

the body of Christ is a unit made up of many parts
and we all have our own gifts to share and a place in God's heart
we all have words of praise even If It Is spoken in tongues
just let them be revealed to all through the Spirit of The Holy One
and through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
we've all been given salvation from living sinful lives
so let's worship Him as one body in Christ all together with praise
let It be an orderly procession with our hands and voices to Him raised

Living and Leaving a Legacy

what will you be remembered for when you have passed away?
what do you think most people will probably have to say?
what things would you like to be most memorialized about?
what things about you would your friends and family shout out?
what have you accomplished in life? what good works and deeds have you done?
where you a devoted servant of God or a disobedient one?
what significant mark on this world do you hope to leave?
will there be anyone around who for you will mourn or grieve?
will you have touched any souls or enriched any minds?
what type of lasting and living legacy will you leave behind?
when it comes time to take that final ride in that black stretch limo
what of your life's accomplishments will you want people to know?
for as naked as the day that you first appeared on this earth
what bare facts do you wish people would remember about you first?

a lasting and living legacy, your entry in the book of eternal life
will it be a legacy as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ
to have been a member of the family of the Most Holy Lord
to have been one who was called to come and get aboard
for you can't bargain, you can't scheme and to Him you cannot bribe
to have a place in God's heart where only truth and goodness reside
so as you travel your life's journey keep God always on your mind
don't sweat the small stuff not buy into the devil's lies

now turn to your sons, to your daughters, nieces and nephews
the future generation you need to reach out to
the children, the continuous legacy of our very lives
our children, the next generation of servants for Jesus Christ
introduce them to the Lord and leave a faith in them so strong
show them that your life was a living testimony to the Kingdom of which you belonged
let the children know that God has given them love, power and self-discipline
show them that there's nothing to fear but fear in the end
help them discover the gift to them that God did give
their true purpose, passion and destiny for which they should live
tell them that this faith has always been in your family
the inheritance of belief a lasting and living legacy
pass the baton of faith so your memory will keep on living
fan the flame of faith that which to you God has given
a strong belief system that you will pass on down the line
by living and leaving a legacy that will be remembered for all time

Premium Member W-Ode To 50 Wives Bred To Worship the Polygamous Prophet

Strophe

The polygamist had a big house
Where he chose to warehouse hundreds of girls
And women including 29 stepmothers, his father’s spouses
56 of the girls were each other’s sisters.
And 24 were under the age of seventeen.
Some of the young wives even assisted passions
The pedophile with his sexual assaults
Telling the girls that if they refused to please his preen
In what he dubbed the “heavenly sessions”
They would be “rejected by God’s favorite cult.

Antistrophe

Wives were both the victims of his abuse
And the accomplices subjected to a cruel
World of worship and sexual abuse
And were so indoctrinated and used cool.
Who cruelly bred them for manipulation.
Calling himself the ‘humble servant’ of God
Asking the girls to please God to atone community’s sins
Oh, the wives of the notorious polygamist’s predation
Into the twisted world of subjugation fold
With which he surrounded himself amidst the teens.

Epode

Had a wisdom tooth for his sexual gratification
Raping the young girls in his big house to make housewives
The State of Texas has a big house for lamentation
Where he will spend the rest of his life’s cloves
Well, he will have plenty of time to repent.
And think deeply on the meaning of life
Out of the 50 wives none of the parents got relief
Where are the parents of these young girls tormented?
Does that mean all were brainwashed for strife?
So scary that pedophilia can be masked as religious belief.

God's Presence

God’s Presence,
like a wave crashing over me,
is all consuming,
and all revealing,
Christ is my mirror,
in a way,
He shows me,
 myself,
without him,
 my sin,
but steps out of the mirror,
into the human world,
as a humble servant of God,
and takes all my sin away,
and gives me,
his righteousness,
and,
his peace,
not of this world.

God’s Presence,
like a passion running through my veins,
shows me,
who I am,
saved by Him,
dwelling within me,
redeemed,
made clean by his blood.
Seen not as,
I used to be,
a sinner,
hopelessly hell-bound,
lonely lost,
but as I am now,
a beloved child of God,
a new creation,
guaranteed to live with Him for eternity!

B O L D

Be a servant of God, lowly and modesty.
Open our hearts for others with love and service, sincerely.
Lord Christ Jesus is the shinning beacon of our journey.
Darkness is no longer in the face of Jesus’ love and mercy.

We seek to serve You, Oh Lord, and your dispersed children.
Take our whole lives and reign them with your heaven’s grace.
Anoint them with your eternal love and compassion.
Into unknown, we will embrace.

God's Good Servant

A-lmighty God's good servant
D-oes what the Master commands;
R-ighteousness is followed
I-n the zeal of his hands.
E-very good servant of God gives glory to the Lord;
L-eading a new way of life by obeying the Almighty's word.

O-ne good servant of God
B-elieves and trusts in His power;
A-lthough blessed with wisdom,
R-eturning lowly to the Father.

M-erry month of warm July,
E-very twenty-second day;
I-n the heart of a good servant
M-any thanks are there to say.
B-irth brings much mirth,
A-s it is what you want;
N-ever forget to pray being God's good servant.

Devoted Servant

D-evoted servant of God
E-arnestly lives by His command;
M-issing not the worship
I-nside the temple in the land.

T-hird of September Sunday,
A-n early praise is held;
D-evoted servant of the Lord
U-ses the love unparalleled.
R-emain constantly pious,
A-s your faith is kept radiant;
N-o sign of being recreant is seen to the devoted servant.

I Know This Man of God

I know this man of God that roars from the bottom of the city, below the red blood line.
Knowing that his words never fail, every Sunday I make my way down to the bottom of the city to hear this man of God.
I rest my weight on the hard wooden bench with worn out cushion just to let this man of God spew out the words of God like rain upon my soul.
Many Sundays his pounding and prolific oratory would shake my unconscious, this man of God.
His words of God are righteous and they filled the sanctuary like a balloon, and this man of God is always in harmony.
This man of God energy is that of the sun because the glory of God's love is upon him.
This man of God method of delivering the holy word is conventional, yet he catapults his sermons in the most phenomenal fashion.
This man of God spontaneously in the spirit of the moment kindles the heart of the captive congregation with vociferous and powerful narrations. With resourceful minds, they are aboard a spiritual ship riding the waves of his glorious orations.
I know this man of God, that roars from the bottom of the city, below the red blood line.
Although it is said that he is an academic man with degrees from prestigious institutions, I know this man of God as a most humble and gifted man.
As he roars, and sing, and teach, and spring, I am glad that God led me to this servant of God, that roars from the bottom of the city below the red blood line.

Feel Good Religions

Suppose you went to several doctors who told you your prognostics were grim,
And you didn’t like what you heard so you find a feel good doctor and decide you’d best
listen to him.
The fact is he didn’t really make you feel better he just said what you had wanted to hear,
All the while you are getting sicker and the evidence is quite clear!

The same thing is going on in many of our churches, they are not teaching what God wants
them to teach,
They are trying to please man, not God, in the sermons they preach.
These feel good preachers need to be honest and preach what God commands for our souls to
be saved,
Obedience, faithfulness, the very actions of His Son, which to the world he gave.

Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, and few there be that find it,
It is something we truly have to search for with all our heart and we must never quit.
God says prove all things, don’t be guilty of taking someone at there word,
Learn your Bible, it’s our first and best defense to many lies you will incur.

Repent, turn away from whatever wrong you do,
Get baptized and be a servant of God, for His Kingdom is there for you.
The Gospel is the Good News, the Inspired Word of God, given unto man,
Just a few simple rules, not really all that hard to follow, that is God’s plan!

Premium Member The Favour of God -Genesis 6: 8

God sends many blessings upon the world
so many that they couldn't be counted
just as Abraham had all his descendants
this fact leaves us all truly astounded

Now Noah was a humble servant of God
stood for righteousness when no one would
obeying his blessed Lord to build an ark
when everyone mocked him he still stood

For this act of bravery and faithfulness
God was with him fully and true
promising His favour upon him to bless
this the Lord would continue to do

The Lord knew about the life of Noah
for His eyes were cast on His chosen one
blessing Noah with God's merciful favour
for he'd stood true to be told well done!

('But Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord.')
Genesis 6: 8 (ESV)

Sister Job

Like a goat
watching her kid
boil in her milk,
My how Sister Job's heart
must have ripped.
Clasping her breast
and beating her head
when she discovered
her children were dead.
Then searching for shelter-
some place to hide to mourn-
somewhere to cry
And finding only relics
of what her children had left
from the time they roamed
free - alive - in good health.
Turning to her lord
needing his hand.
Finding him a boil
squatting in ashy sand.
Turning to her priest
needing a prayer.
Only to watch him
scrape off his skin
with shattered earthenware.
Thinking it was God
who murdered her babes.
Yet Job remained faithful.
"My Man is Crazed!"

Angry enough to become Satan's tool.
"Curse God and die!"
There was nothing else to lose-
having no words to say
after being reproved.
She must have walked with
head low, for her man's
breath she could stand no more.
But, what did she have left
to lose since they
were her children too.

It had been strife in his flesh
oh poor man Job
when his bitter wife
could stand him no more.
Being once alone under
hardened stares.
Knowing she'd said curse God
and be dead.
But his love was long-suffering
and could never fail.
A blameless and upright
servant of God.
His love was long-suffering
and could never die.
So when the time came
on behalf of his wife
Job prayed...

and Jah accepted and forgave...
for LOVE understood-
They were her children too.
