With smiling faces we are looking for the summer
Josephine, I believe that you're my destiny
Enjoying life in many ways, let's dance
A cup of coffee at The Blue Cafe

Josephine I believe that you're my destiny
For each and every day, our lucky day
A cup of coffee at The Blue Cafe
If we put our hearts into it, nothing to fear

For each and every day, our lucky day
Your warm and tender love, from dream to dream
If we put our hearts into it, nothing to fear
In perfect harmony, I just wanna be with you

Your warm and tender love, from dream to dream
She closes her eyes and whispers so tenderly: I love you
In perfect harmony, I just wanna be with you
Sing a song of love to me with vows and lullabies

She closes her eyes and whispers so tenderly: I love you
Enjoying life in many ways, let's dance
Sing a song of love to me with vows and lullabies
With smiling faces we are looking for the summer

Napoleon and Josephine

Napoleon Bonaparte.
Smaller than a popcorn fart.
Not man enough for Josephine.
You know exactly what I mean.

Years ago, I had a college roommate named Herbie.
His uncle was anthropologist Leonard Kirby
who was reported missing when the plane he had flown,
crashed in the Borneo jungle at a spot unknown.
Herbie had insisted his uncle was still alive;
despite what was declared on the news program at five.
Dr. Kirby was an excellent pilot to fly.
Herbie said there’s no way his uncle went down to die.
When the spring break began, Herbie would sell his Hummer,
and got enough money for a trip in the summer.
He asked me to join him on his jaunt to Borneo.
I responded with “Yes, I would really like to go!

Deep in the jungle is where Dr. Kirby appeared.
Herbie recognized him despite his very long beard.
Herb told Dr. Kirby “Uncle Leonard, can’t you see?
I’m your great nephew Herbert; don’t you recognize me?
The old man answered “Yes nephew, don’t be so sappy!
I’ve found a wife and a brand new life, I’m quite happy!”
We were puzzled until we saw this monstrosity;
a huge native woman standing at seven feet three.
Dr. Kirby said “Boys, this is my wife Josephine.
She’s the most wonderful woman I have ever seen!
I’m so glad I found her because she’s so big and strong.
As long as she stays with me, I can never go wrong!
Once she was bitten by a tiger in an attack.
This only made her angry, so she bit him right back.
And here’s the strangest thing that can never be denied:
We heard only two days later that poor tiger died!
No boys, I’m not going back and leave this happiness;
because I owe too much in tax to the IRS.
To me, this jungle is just like heaven on the earth.
If I go back home, they might send me to Leavenworth!
So tell the whole family for me I said hello.
Don’t miss the last flight out of here, so you’d better go!

The Mourning Phoenix, Josephine

The Aphotic semblance rises against her face
The king of shame reigns over all
Her Hallows are mine
We are the same, Josephine
Explain to me this sacrificial empathy
Josephine

"I'm living; the slowest way to die"
Hold on, my Josephine, everything you feel, is killing me
"I'm the lacunous lover, I must go to my ashened grave
In death I will lay, every word, every pain
I'm the victim, I can forgive
I can't go on - don't feel their wrath meant for me"

My name was meant for elegies
Not for the Wardens' acrimonies
I can't look at a man without seeing a killer
I must go-
Not for the love of the death
For the fear of life"

My Seraphic Josephine
Through the ashes you will claim victory
Don't you say you must die
Elysia is in your grave
Through the ashes you will claim victory
My Seraphic Josephine
You are The Mourning Phoenix

Dear Aunt Josephine:

Shy, sweet, timid Aunt Josephine,
What has happened to you?
Once so adventurous.
Once so alive.
Living life simply for the ride.
Love, passion,
It was all there.
One unhappy ending, now
You’re so scared.

You run, you scream,
You cringe in the corner.
You sell out the young ones
Just for one more hour.
You’re crazy, psycho,
And totally unfair.

Why do you run from the past?
So afraid to point a finger?
Why’d you give up on life?
Why’d you give in to the strife?

I ask so many questions
Because you were once so nice.

Josephine Gay

** This poem is in memory of Josephine Gay, one of the children who died in the Sandy Hook Shooting. Josephine was autistic and severely apraxic and couldn't speak. She loved giving hugs and loved the color purple.

God places his hand on Josephine's head as she enters Heaven.

Speak he says,

And a beautiful angelic voice comes out.

Josephine can now speak,

And spread her love through her hugs and words.

At the end of every night.

She is saying I love you Mom and Dad.

As she closes her eyes in her purple room in Heaven.

An Ode To Empress Josephine

Precious creole from a Caribbean haven,
she that inhabits the vacuum of my heart.
Your kiss can quell a heart laden with fury,
to save regiments from a scene of carnage.

A man's long life span of five score and seven
is nothing more than a fruitless lengthy age
in comparison with few seconds with thee.

Nothing else can inflict as much injury
as a minute second your departure
from a heart you have so pierced with Cupid's dart.

Yes my love, you are dexterously fashioned
by divine hands, distinct from every creature.
Nothing at all in this whole world gladdens me
like my love you have so graciously returned.

Josephine and Jaffar

What's left but a cripple?
Angry and Sarcastic,
Weathered lips
Bitten bloody
In the cold
January Fix.
Entered in a
Plummeting
Dirtied Drunk Mix.
Tasting;
Leaves,
Wheat and sheaves,
Daughters of Eves,
Feasts for Kings,
And other things.
Wetted tongues on
Driftless streets.
Heated talk with
Patterned
Beats.
When what
Appears to lifeless
Is suddenly up for sale.

Josephine

Joyful to play
Optimistic with curiosity lerking somewhere in my brain
Soft and cuddly like a little girl's favorite toy
Excited for new things to come and play
Playful to play games and be creative with family and friends
Hyper active in sports, in my games
Imaginative ideas exploring my head waiting to be created
Nerdy with my studies with my head in the books
Ecstatic to imagine and explore a whole nother world to discover

Napoleon's Love Letter To the Empress Josephine

I knew my heart had been set alight with passion,
that memorable day I cast my very eyes on thee.
Your slightest rebuff to my endless advances
would pose a more formidable challenge to me
than Europe's invincible combined vast army.
The day you unlocked the sealed entrance to thine heart,
was like opening the world's palatial epicentre.
The access you gave me to your love's citadel,
was like the lofty achievement of a world conquest.

Josephine

Near a silent riverbank
where lilies scent the air
under a blackened willow tree
sweet Josephine rests there
kept in eternal slumber
her rotting bones left bare
I'm left longing to hold her close
my heart in disrepair

The Madness of Josephine

She wears only a light robe
and doesn't complains it's cold;
may I introduce her to you guys:
her name is crazy Josephine...
she drinks alchool and uses morphine...
what a shame: she a grandmother and tells lies!

Fatter than a cow, she eats cookies
dunked in carnation milk...and laughs as a freak,
or a drag queen showing her silver teeth;
that makes me think: did she ever take down those bullies!

I talked to her and told her to get off that staff immediately,
it doesn't work for her depression and loneliness...
will she heed, or continue doing harm to her body?
At forty two, she should think of a better existence!

Let me tell you about the weird personality of Josephine:
she can't cook or make coffee...she only cleans and sings
while Hannessy make her face red and she begins to dance
whispering, " Hi, sweety...hand me some of that ovaltine!"

Mad, mad Josephine, don't seduce me with your flamboyant charm,
I couldn't  lie in bed with you, not even for a moment and whisper romantic words;
it would definetely kill any sexual desire even when the room is calm...
please go somewhere else, and find a boyfriend who won't close his eyes and arms.

When I was a younger man, the ladies fancied me.
I’d beguile them with my smile and winsome flattery.
“Tell me do you love me true? Am I the only one?
Do you swear to marry me? Take me as your beloved?”

“Oh yes, you are the only one. I’ve only eyes for you
And if you’d lay your body down, I would marry you.”
I preyed upon their innocence. I trifled with their dreams.
But never did I fall in love, ‘till I met Josephine.

Josephine, Josephine
Prettiest girl that I’ve ever seen.
Josephine, sweet Josephine
I dream of you at night.

An Irish girl, red ringlet curls, with sparkling emerald eyes
Oh to kiss her ruby lips and to win her bonny smile!
If a sultry bird came around to give herself to me
I'd turn her away that I might win sweet Josephine.

“Oh my darling, oh my dear
I’ll always love you best.
I would keep you sweet for aye.
Till Jesus gives you rest.”

Josephine oh Josephine
Prettiest girl that I’ve ever seen.
Josephine, sweet Josephine
I pray you be my bride.

I bought a ring for Josephine, to win her heart sublime.
Gold and silver filigree, set diamonds shining bright.
Then I went down on bended knee to ask her for her hand.
With impish smile she whispered I was not her only man.

Josephine, oh Josephine
Prettiest girl that I’ve ever seen.
Josephine, sweet Josephine
How could you break my heart?

Ten years I prayed and wished in vain I might see her again.
Another day I’d bear the shame, then die a lonely man.
But lo that evening Josephine, came knocking at my door.
Still a maid, her dalliances left her lone and poor.

“Oh my darling, oh my dear
I always loved you best.
I pray you keep me sweet for aye
‘Till Jesus gives me rest.”

She kissed me once and whispered, “Love, ‘till death will do us part.”
I kissed her twice and shoved a knife into her cheatin’ heart.

Josephine, oh Josephine.
Prettiest girl that I’d ever seen.
Josephine, sweet Josephine.
I’ll never see you again.

To Josephine De Beauharnais With Love

My heart cannot
anymore my emotions
accommodate.
Permit me to be pragmatic
in affections which
in its very bottom I
have buried:
Let me hold you in
my cozy arms and
kiss you. Let me your
succulent apples feel,
as I explore the smooth,
soft and sweet fragrant
landscape of your body.
The sensual touch of your
lower curves would
undoubtedly to the
highest heavens convey me.
Let me hold you tight
so that no one else
may grab you.
Let me in your love's
citadel seek eternal
refuge from the vast
armies of Europe.
