My Candy Cane Train
Dark Chocolate Rivers sinfully twist

...through marshmallow trees in May

Cotton candy webs clenched in my fist

Music-box songs lightly play

Cupcake Merry-Go-Round safely sings

As I watch the Cherry-bombs rain

Lolly Pop Lights in colorful rings

All aboard my candy cane train~

*inspired by my seven yr old daughter....Brooke...

Candy Cane Lane
Down On Candy Cane Lane

Several Elves Burst Into Flame

Rudolph Was Sad

But, Santa Was Mad

Knowing Spiked Eggnog Was To Blame.

Santa Put The Drink On A Shelf

Too High Up For Any Elf.

But, The Elves Formed A Plan

And Hired A Man

Who Took And Drank It Himself....

Candy Cane Sticks
CANDY CANE STICKS

bent little crooks
red and white
stripes
help us swallow
Christmascrass
hype

succor sugar comforts
stuffed stocking taboo

peppermint sticks
disabling treats
bow to licking
lips

spry little hooks that
stoop to bingecringe
stick sickly sweet
decaying teeth

succor sugar comforts
stuffed stocking taboo

tastebuds tingle
sleighbells jingle
cell-o-feigns
freed
Candy Cane
Christmascrass
creed

the first one of the season
most certainly not the last....

Premium Member The Candy Cane of Poetry
Why write, if only to please the masses?
Are you an addict for comments only
from positive-prone classes?

Must everything be, oh Lord, so
uplifting?
Life, as we know it, can be harsh and
most twisting!

Allow each poet complete freedom
to express their souls.
I do mean freedom, no limits, should
be our goal.

No...

The Purple Candy Cane
wake up to the smell of a purple candy cane under my pillow dancing from one ear to the next... I giggle as it tickles and smell pickle endorses upon my skin like a cologne of a sandwich of tasty miracles.

I feel the purple...

Welcome and be careful of the Candy Cane Walkway the Jester said.
Josh blinked his eyes twice, thinking he was hallucinating in his head.
Seriously, it’s the only way to her house, Jester said with a laugh.
If you want to date the Candy Cane Queen, you’ll follow...

How shall we get there? Mr. Snowman asked his wife.
She knew everything; she had not led a sheltered life.
We shall find a candy cane, it will take us to him she said.
They finally found one that was willing, all white and red.

Hop aboard! Invited the...

All the December candy he made in red
March candies were green clover shaped
Super hero cookies were aptly caped
What started out as a Christmas thing

Premium Member MISSING CANDY CANE
Colored lights, Santa Claus and his reindeer, holiday music floating in the air…
look around and you’ll see there are signs of Christmas everywhere.

It’s streaming on our TV’s, playing on our radios…it’s on every child’s face.
and this year I discovered a new sign…in the most unlikely...
