Yen for zen
Those practicing Tantra urge us to celebrate, albeit in an aspect of childlike trust and surrender, whilst Buddhists lay emphasis on emptiness, essentially negating play of aversion and desire and as for fundamentalists, lost in the scriptures, lost in labyrinths of ritual, they know not magic of zen. Spontaneity of innate aliveness in mindfulness is zen, wherein empty of thought but full of bliss, we celebrate, a pathless path transcending dogmas of scriptures, relinquishing lower mind in an act of trust and surrender, that disallows not engagement in any craving or desire, provided we be aware that the ultimate truth is emptiness. Just as water seeks its own level, magnetism fills emptiness, when bliss beats dance within, making mood and mode zen, as the goal, not the means, the very zenith of heart’s desire, where without volition, by gentle resonation, nodes celebrate flow of divine magnetism, enabled when we truly surrender, teleporting presence to wisdom beyond reach of scriptures. Knowing garnered by sages, takes the shape of scriptures, in as interpreted by the herd, assigning labels to emptiness but in truth we each must walk the path toward total surrender, fearlessly skiing the bardo as a way of life, we call pure zen, so dissolving both space and time, oh hermit, let us celebrate, unclingingly embracing and releasing each and every desire. Innate to our core is our eternal consciousness and so is desire, thus the term ‘existence, consciousness, bliss’ coined in scriptures, epitomises our true essence, the Self, so let us oh monk, celebrate, because although behind this lucid dream life lies vibrant emptiness, we may, if we choose, bilocate awareness by employing art of zen, relinquishing illusionary ego cravings by bending down in surrender. If there be no doer then all that is, is smoke, so who does surrender, is the question we contemplate, so let us not worry about desire, taking it as the mirror reflection of aversion, both alien to soul’s zen spirit, thus as we walk, the path appears, unknown to the scriptures, rekindling heart lamp of love within, exhuming illusion of emptiness, when all that that then remains is God’s presence, so let us celebrate. Discarding lower mind, which fails to interpret the written scriptures, bliss magnetism in its splendour fully fills our deluded emptiness and thus doing nothing, now transmuted as the flame, we celebrate.
