We have met the enemy and they are ours, famous quote from the war of 1812
On September 10, 1813, United States naval Commodore Oliver Henry made this statement from his stunning victory over British forces in Lake Erie in Canada. "We are have met the enemy and they are ours." And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled down to the earth and his angels with him. Revelation 12:7-9. Satan's doom When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations of the four corners of the earth--Gog and Magog--to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sands of the sea shore. They marched across the breath of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city that he loves. But fire came down and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet have been thrown. They will be tormented forever and ever. Revelation 20:7-9. (1,000 years earlier they were both tossed alive into the burning lake of sulfur, by Jesus Christ at the ending of the battle of Armageddon. Whereas, Satan, was bound by an angel, with a single large chain and caste into the abyss for 1,000 years and was not able to tempt the nations anymore until the 1,000 years were up and he was let lose for only a short season.) At the White Throne Judgment: all people whose names were not written in the Lamb's book of life, were also tossed into the lake of burning sulfur. The books were opened and they were all judged according to their works. The one work that they omitted was--becoming saved--and having their names written in his own special book. The book of life was also opened and only our names were read aloud, we were not present. Just as the British forces were defeated in the war of 1812, by the American forces--Satan and his minions will be defeated by the judge over all of the earth--Jesus Christ. The last war that the Americans won was World War 11. But that is not true for Jesus Christ, and his heavenly armies, who resided in heaven, during the earth's seven year tribulation, and won the battle of Armageddon. Jesus won the battle--we escorted him! Roxanne Lea Dubarry Roxy Lea 1954/October Country April 30, 2024
