Famous Short Daffodils Poems. Short Daffodils Poetry by Famous Poets. A collection of the all-time best Daffodils short poems

by Emily Dickinson
Absent Place -- an April Day --
Daffodils a-blow
Homesick curiosity
To the Souls that snow --

Drift may block within it
Deeper than without --
Daffodil delight but
Him it duplicate --

by Mother Goose

Daffy-down-dilly has come to town
In a yellow petticoat and a green gown.

by Emily Dickinson
She dwelleth in the Ground --
Where Daffodils -- abide --
Her Maker -- Her Metropolis --
The Universe -- Her Maid --

To fetch Her Grace -- and Hue --
And Fairness -- and Renown --
The Firmament's -- To Pluck Her --
And fetch Her Thee -- be mine --

by Emily Dickinson
She bore it till the simple veins
Traced azure on her hand --
Til pleading, round her quiet eyes
The purple Crayons stand.
Till Daffodils had come and gone I cannot tell the sum, And then she ceased to bear it -- And with the Saints sat down.
No more her patient figure At twilight soft to meet -- No more her timid bonnet Upon the village street -- But Crowns instead, and Courtiers -- And in the midst so fair, Whose but her shy -- immortal face Of whom we're whispering here?
