Did You Ever.............?

Did you ever stop to think,then the signals change?
Something in your heart,you're feeling kind of strange.
You run like the wind,to escape from the cage.
History just stops,as you go to turn the page.
Life becomes transparent,as it takes center stage.
Emotions start to change,consumed with all this rage.
Did you ever stop to think,then you can't go back?
Everything just vanishes,then you don't know where it's at.
You think you can survive,but life just rushes on.
Hope there still is time,before everything is gone.
Did you ever stop to think,that change can come to you?
The change becomes perspective,yet wonder what to do?
The world just keeps on spinning,you'd better get on track.
But you've traveled way too far,there is no turning back.
The sorrow just returns,like a sneak attack...........
Your heart becomes heavy,as your feet drag across the floor,
Yet you awaken the next morning,coming back for more.
Did you ever stop to think,what lies beyond the clouds?
Dream states just envelope,hope that is allowed?
There's a face behind the mask,as you're uncertain what you see.
I feel things drift away,it gets harder to be me.......
Did you ever stop to think,what you care about?
Everything important,lies in the shadows of doubt.
The light comes shining in,to start another day.
The things you saw before,you see in a different way.
Did you ever stop to think,then you're mind goes on the blink?
Standing at the edge,the answers on the brink.
The water's getting deeper,as you begin to sink.
But life presents itself,so you take a little drink.
Did you ever stop to think,but then you lost your way?
Intentions that you've sent,don't match the things you say?
You try to look around,but your eyes remain closed.
The answers just illude you,form the qustion that are exposed.
You wander in the dark,but the light is up ahead.
The signals start to change,they go from green to red.
Reaching out to grasp,but it's just beyond my reach.
Much like the waves,that crash upon the beach........
