Poem
A walk in wonderland. Sun kissed shades of green. Ferns as delicate as Chantilly lace. Ornamental grasses dance in the breeze Ghostly grey herbaceous with a blast of green. And Boxwood in variegated patterns, lush emerald tones . This is my paradise, an image of my soul. From God, the sun and rain, I gave my love. Idiosyncratic flowers that exhibit spectacular full color hue. Hidden under Elephant ears huge vibrant green leaves. Lavish blooms of tulips, azaleas, crocus, pansies, poppies and lilac. Citrus fruit trees guide the way along a magic tapestry as it weaves. With an ever present bouquet of lemon, orange and lime. Wafting through the air to join the rosemary and thyme. Harmonizing with lavender’s sweet aroma and the gentle perfume. Jasmine as it creeps up and over the rickety bridge. The bridge that covers the clear blue pond a miniature lagoon. The bridge taking you to where secrets and surprises belong. From one train of thought to a place for meditation to relax. And allow soothing fantasies to manifest and for you to find. Cherry blossoms hang low over the camphor wood bench, Giving shade to this ideal place to cool and quench. You may sustain free thought as your meditative mind allows. Solar fairy lights gently threaded through the tree boughs. They line the swirling serpentine pathway, brilliantly. Taking twists and turns leads it unexpectedly to a hedge maze. Taking you this way and that, til the hedge shaped like an elf, Arm outstretched pointing, leads you to the way out. An enchanted waterfall cascades beside a tiny fairy garden. Whimsical miniature plants and trees. Goblins up to mischief. Fairies at play, some having tea. Mushrooms and unicorns. My imagination at play creating a mystical fairy scene. Glitter and gems, but wait ! Things amazingly appear moved. It's now the elves and pixies having tea. Such a mystery, are my fairies real ? By the light of the moon I stay up to watch. A large black figure silently walks over the fairy garden. The large cat put things in disarray, before moving on. Just about to but things right when, suddenly ! I man appears ! I squealed with fright! it was my neighbor. His cat had been disturbing the garden when out at night. He had been fixing it, and making it right. From then on he was a regular visitor, the cat stays at home. He brought gorgeous Gemini roses to plant in the garden. We sit and chat on the camphorwood bench. Now there is two to look after "our Gemini Garden."
