How vast the scope of knowing
Overwhelmingly so
My self awareness overflowing
But otherwise not in the know

How vast is the ocean
My knowledge just a drop
I proceed with just a notion
Fall foul of a Malaprop

How vast are those intellects
And all the clever clogs
Talking of things so complex
Whilst my brain unfogs

How vast and disregarded
Are the need for facts
With mistruths we are bombarded
Misrepresented salient extracts

How vast the condemnation
Of things not understood
Just lost in the translation 
So few promises made good

How vast the hope for change
Requested by the few
The many still unnerved by strange
Remain fixed in their World view

How vast things can consume
Swallow you up whole
Like a click bait newsroom 
Devouring your heart and soul

How vast are all the conflicts
Everywhere right now
No suggestion they'll be fixed
The likes of me just don't know how
