Wondering

White caps glistening on the horizon As the sun sets on a restless sea I wonder where your thoughts are And do you ever think of me Have you seen my smile in the breaking waves Or tasted my kiss in the salted mist Felt my touch in the evening breeze Heard my voice in the seabirds midst Have you seen me standing on distant shore Or floating by on a snow white cloud Have you ever reached for a vision of me Or called my name out loud Wished I was there to say goodnight Or beside you with morning anew Have you ever asked yourself If I've seen or felt these things for you Sometimes the things we want to know We wish we never knew So a mystery this may remain While I wonder if your wondering too

I like this poem, Dawn. I have done that kind of wondering before... wondering where someone is, what they are doing, if their life was good. We lose so many of our school days friends after graduation. Nice poetry. Keep your poetry flowing. Smiles... Dane Ann
