Untouched By Death

"Dead leaves lay still until the wind takes them          here and there:  even the last flower is withered:                          yet there is a beauty in decay."                                              Quote by _ Constance La France  Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, form dies but soul indwelling the vessel lives on, joyous for it knows it will be reborn and like the Phoenix, from ashes will rise. It’s in ignorance that we weigh and size, for objects we cling to, will soon be gone and so when ego attachments are shorn, truth of eternal life, we’ll realise. Life and death, polarities that rotate, like beauteous waves, which rise and subside, so recognising that life’s but Gods play, change as the only constant is our fate, enabling us on earth to wingless glide, as God breathes us gently, by night and day. 05-June-2023 ___________ Writing Challenge - D Quotes Poetry Contest Sponsor: Constance La France
